April factory images (Update: OTA is live!)

I got my update around 5pm or so EDT for the baby Pixel 2 (Verizon model on AT&T). Just got my 2XL (unlocked on Fi) a few minutes ago (8:30pm). Not running beta Play Services. Looks like a staggered release based on something I'm not aware of.

For me, Step 2, the installation step, was torture. Sideloading the full OTA would have been as fast, even including the time to download the 1.1 GB zip file: 18 minutes from download to restart.

just received my update from Verizon..
will have to test things out tomorrow, very surprised they released the update as soon as they did (normally a week or two behind the release date from Google)..
I'm impressed with Verizon today!

Got mine today, brought phone from Google using on AT&T. Check for update button worked for me.

I haven't found Verizon to be behind at all in the past. Don't forget...the check for update was broken for ahwile too.

Just looked at this thread and then checked "System Update".
It worked just like it should and I'm now on the April 5 Security Patch Level.

I was impressed, clicked on the check for updates button yesterday (Monday 4/2) at around 9pm eastern and it found it and downloaded it. Seems the button is finally working as promised, or I just got lucky.

That can happen. Some towers will have your phone display VZW on occasion.

Does anyone have a issue on the lock screen were it has a green tint over the song picture / podcast picture ? after updating my phone to the April security patch this started .

I got my OTA just now. Was so surprising.
