Well, it's out! I installed it last night. Took an eternity...but all seems good.

It was like Christmas yesterday . My Phone and my Pixel watch updated at the same time . As a bonus the update for the watch didn't give me a hard time .

I agree that Google is overextended with everything going on. The ChatGPT threat and the anti-trust lawsuits are 2 big one sucking time and significant resources.

It's super unlikely that these are pulling from the same resources, IME (I worked on OS development for quite a few years, non-phone).
The interop between the chat AI components is pretty abstracted, for most things.
I guess the suits could be figuring in, maybe, if groups doing patches and small-scale features are seeing something coming their way, as a result (also been in this boat before), but I sure wouldn't figure it, for them anyway, larger feature groups could definitely be feeling things from this, IME.
