Are people complaining to Google about the awful audio?

He stated an opinion -- nothing wrong with that. Vega isn't one of those people to just start stuff to start it :).

Dang that was quick..... when you ask for a mod here you get one pronto :O ;-)

I was just kidding about the bait, you know the saying, all talk (about phones) and no play lol.

Thank you Almeuit :)

Yeah, I just find it frustrating that the Pixel's always seem to have some sort of issue with video or audio or the screen itself doing something funky. You would expect with the price hike that issues like this wouldn't happen this time around, but nope. I want to be convinced to buy a Pixel 3, even though I was initially turned off by the price bumps...but issues like these are not convincing me that this phone is as capable as an iPhone X. That is all. :)

But don't all phones have at least some issues? I mean when I search the web, I see plenty of issues with all devices, Apple's X, X S, Max ... Not saying they aren't great devices, because I think they are, but what's differnce with Pixels? Apple releases a lot of point updates to fix issues, why would the situation with Google be different?

everyone wants a trouble free phone which doesn't exist ..
I guess we have to start asking all phone manufacturers to start tailoring to every individual's needs we see how that works out . I think most phone manufacturers try to balance it out for everyone taste just some people more picky then others

Ironically the Iphone X lags compared to the Pixel on a game my wife likes to play. It even lags compared to an iphone 6S

I have never experienced lag but I also don't really game a ton to notice. The games I do play, they play nice and smooth.

The purpose of my post though was just how stable and consistent the iPhone is at Audio, Video and Photos. And unfortunately with Pixels this has not been the case and I really wish it would be.

Would you say it sounds better than on SUPERSAF's video or comparable, but it just doesn't bug you too much?

Mine doesn't sound like the video but my conditions were different. Indoors with quiet background environment. He was jogging in the video with wind noise changing the dynamics.

Appreciate the response! This different video around 3:45 shows an incredibly tinny sound even when indoors. Maybe not your experience, but it's still the thing that has me most hesitant about purchasing a Pixel 3 (XL), as to me, it sounds awful.

Yes it does sound vety tinny in the video but with less background noise than the iphone. I wonder if they are overdoing the background noise filtering or processing. Hopefully they can adjust that with an update.

Google's initial response to the issue certainly makes me think they can, but makes me pessimistic that they are actually interested in doing so.

That could be until they receive enough complaints to make it a priority.

I wouldn't count on anything being done. Both the pixel and pixel 2's sufferer from hissing in videos and nothing has been done about it. The Nexus 6 had a serious auto focus bug that was also never addressed.
