Are the S Pen tips interchangeable?

I never had a Note series phone until I purchased 8 a couple of months ago. Now, I am looking to upgrade to the N9 by using the Note 8 as trade bait. All Bell requires is the phone, which means I will have spare tips from the S pen. Are they interchangeable with the new S Pen?

Look at the spare tips from the 8 and look at the spare tips from the 9. If they look identical, they should work.
