Are there any new phones (or on the horizon) that aren't aluminum?

I have a Nexus 6p, and I can't stand it without a case. It is slippery, and any time I set it on a surface, it feels like it is going to crack or scratch (the slightest bit of grit on the surface makes a terrible crunching sound). I have to keep it in a case, which is bulky. Plus grit gets in the case, which actually does scratch the phone. It looks pretty beaten up, all from grit that sneaks into the case.

I used to have a Oneplus One. The texture of the phone was amazing. It held up well, too. For a time it looked like Motorola was going in the same direction with leather or various other outer materials to choose from.

I haven't been looking much at phones since I got my 6p, but it looks like everything is aluminum now. Are there any other options for high-ish end phones? Or will I be stuck with aluminum and a case?

The S8 and S8 Plus are glass. They have a pretty decent grip to them in the hand. You could always consider getting a skin for your phone or a very thin case. Many out there that will provide you with a decent grip.
