Are you finding the Fingerprint sensor reliable?

How is everyone finding the FPS on the Flip 5. I find it to be very reliable. My biggest gripe is getting back to remembering it is on the side!

works surprisingly well. a little harder to set up but reads it fine almost every time first try and yes the side thing, I find myslef looking towards the bottom of the open screen on more than one occasion

I always had trouble with the fingerprint sensor and glass screen protectors on my S22 and S23. The fingerprint sensor never worked reliably. The Flip 5 sensor is the best I've ever had on a phone.

Ihave found that registering the same fingerprint 2 or more times seems to improve the accuracy and speed of the print recognition software. Response for me has been virtually instantaneous.

Due to some skin issues, I have never been able to get a side mounted Samsung fingerprint sensor to work for me. S10e, Flip 3, 4, and 5. None of them. So, I just use my PIN. (Last FP sensor that actually worked for me was my last LG phone!)

It does, but it's not very secure.

It seems to be bang on when open, but a bit off when folded. Probably because I registered my prints while it was open.

Thank you all. I like the facial recognition whenever I'm at home. I found out quickly that it was to be loved vs always using fingerprints. Comparing my three phones, two Pixel 6s and my N20U, the Note is just seamless while in my hand with it. I'm trading in one of the P6s for the Flip 5. I can't wait for it to arrive this week.

When I am at home, I set up a routine to keep it unlocked while I am connected to my wifi network. (I also do this with the network at a place where I volunteer). Works well.

It's a good idea except that you still run into a lock screen which you have to swipe to open. If I'm swipin' the screen, I may as well just scan my finger.

While it is open add a second or third fingerprint but turn your phone around and do you prints like it would be folded . Makes a huge difference.

I'm enjoying the fingerprint scanner in the side. I added 3 fingers to it.
