Are you going to buy the Samsung Galaxy S7?

If I had the money, Absolutely! Sticking strong with my G2 for now until it stops working. By the time that happens they will be on the Galaxy S 11! Haha.

Had the HTC One (M7), now the LG G3, decided my next phone would be Samsung, primarily for Samsung Pay that can be used at older terminals without Tap & Pay. But some features of the S7 turned me off. They put a glass back on the phone, so one must get a case to protect it, so what's the sense of a pretty looking, shatter prone glass back if it's covered with a case? They made it water resistant, and by doing so, made the battery non-replaceable. In that case, battery failure means dead phone. (What is the life span of Lithium Ion batteries?) The BOGO deals at the major carriers actually turned me off. I feel like I'd be getting ripped off paying full price for one when others are getting two for the price of one. I'll pass on the S7.

The S7 edge has a 3600 ah battery. You don't need to replace it.
Samsung has moved technology forward.
Learn the new technology.
Phones are not made to drop. Get a case for it. Put it on your side. And not in your pocket.if your scared you are gonna break it, buy insurance.

If you took the time to "Learn the new technology" regarding Lithium Ion batteries you would see they have a shelf life and a power cycle life of 300 to 500 cycles. You can Google it. If you charge your phone daily, that converts to between a year and two years of cycling before the battery starts to lose capacity. The battery on my G3 started losing capacity after 16 months. Replaced the battery, problem solved.
A case is an absolute necessity and that's my point in case you missed it. However, I prefer to keep my phone in my pocket and not look like a nerd with the phone on my belt.
Learn about insurance. It is a rip-off. A steep fee, a high deductible and pre-owned replacement.
Learn how to accept opinions other than yours.

I'm talking to the people who repair mobile phones. Got a friend that does it.
They said you take a huge chance breaking the motherboard with it in your pocket.
Also talked to Samsung . They say they can replace the battery, if you can have it sent to them.
But I know with most people that is not a option.

I haven't checked in a while. But Batteries Plus was replacing batteries in cell phones. They also sold screen protectors.

I might if I can talk myself into getting the Gold S7 instead of the nonexistent Silver S7 that I would like! I do not understand why they only have two colors for the S7 but three for the Edge. REALLY annoying.
I saw the gold in store and it looked silver to me.

I want the edge because of the size and battery life okay the edge features too I guess. LOL

I did pre-order it because of the Gear VR and 128GB but today I bought the S7...

Rogers has a promotion that I basically got it for $114.99 instead of $399 on an upgrade. I got $160 for an S3 I bought when it came out!!

So the question is will this 3,000mAh be good enough. Battery was the reason why I hated the S6 and I give Samsung for making it thicker to put a bigger battery.

We'll see...

Wow you got $160 for your S3 good deal! We got $150 for our M9's so paying 150 a piece wasn't bad plus we got 60 for our gear. So we actually paid 90 a piece. LOL! But of course I bought 2 expensive cases and an HD Zagg.

I am going to buy the S7, I'm just trying to figure out how to get it at the best price. I'll be doing a 2 year contract. My S5 is in perfect condition. After removing the Zagg HD screen protector and Spigen case, it will look like it was just unboxed. How can I get the best price for my phone? Selling it on ebay? Does anyone know what kind of price Verizon will give me? My husband said there are websites that buy old phones.

Check out Swappa.com Sold and bought phones there. Well moderated, uses paypal.

I'm not, at least for now. Concerned with how many issues I'm seeing with things that should work without issue like WIFI and BT. I loved my Note 5, but the BT issues I had made me dump it.

Just picked up a new Moto X Pure 32gb for $300. If I can live without a perfect camera, it will save me a bunch of cash and for the things I do (not a gamer) it should perform just fine.

Tired of chasing the next big thing, esp when it seems QC is suspect.

Yeah, the longer this phone is out the more hesitant I am to trade in my perfectly good S5 :o A couple of weeks ago I asked if the S7 seemed to have more issue out of the gate than the preceding Galaxys. Someone answered, "about the same". I'm thinking now it does. Course you never know how many of these complaints are user error or a rude app!

Honestly, I've yet to come across an issue that wasn't easily fixed. I got Nova instead of Touchwiz and overall I couldn't be happier. Then again, I went from an S4 to an S7, so maybe you S5/S6 people might be happier. From what I can tell, though, all the reasons why I didn't upgrade to S5/S6 were entirely fixed by the S7. Color me a true believer now. (And to think, I almost went with the Sony Xperia until I saw that this was coming out soon!)

Glad you're enjoying it, and yes S4 to S7 is a substantial hop. I'll keep watching...my TMO Jump upgrade is eligible so if I see that they've smoothed out some issues I may try it.

I dont know, Im thinking about getting an S6, on the other side it would be nice having the top end smartphone from Samsung. Im thinking about it, but it would be nice having one :)
