How do you like the cameras of the S20 compared to the P4XL?? I just sent back a Note 20U because it didn't take as good of shots as my P4XL, at least imo.
I think it's more than good enough for most things and a heck of a lot more versatile. Plus the video recording is far better. If you go pixel peeping on a big screen, yeah you are probably going to notice a difference but for the added functionality I get everywhere else and the better specs and battery life, I'm really loving the S20 and that's something I never thought I'd say anytime soon. Yes the Pixel takes great still shots and is very minimal. But Samsung really has a better device all around. I started using DeX recently, something else I never thought I'd say. It's surprisingly good.

Excellent point. Two weeks ago I bought a P4XL for $500. I was actually really interested in some of the Motion Sense stuff as it looks similar to Moto Actions (or whatever it was called) on my Moto X2--I loved them! The pone just arrived yesterday & I like a lot about it, except that it's the 64 GB variant. I also didn't realize how slow the wireless charging is--11w. It took over 3 hours to fully charge on my Samsung wireless charger from 2%.

The P5 has 18w wireless charging. This, larger storage, more RAM, & 300mAh difference in the battery might be worth the tradeoff of the older Snapdragon chip for me.
no the motion sense stuff wasn't really useful. Yeah the 4 & 4XL have slow wireless charging speeds. Only really useful for the night stand IMO.

Keep in mind the 765G is not an old processor, in fact it's new this year to and has a lot of similarities to the 845 & 855. By all accounts it's no slouch and with pixel software I'm extremely confident that most will never know the difference. The bigger battery, RAM and storage are way more important to me.

Good points about the processor. I'm actually liking Motion Sense and the face unlock-- especially given that it just works, unlike Samsung, that requires extra steps.

I wear a very special kind of prosthetic contact lens and it takes me a long time to prep and insert, so so today when I was in the process rinsing and prepping to put them in, I was able to replay a song without touching the phone, which I loved. --It I had had to touch it, I would have had to wash and sterilize my hands and start over. Yeah I know this isn't something that applies to everyone, but I can see other applications for it, i.e. when I'm cooking, etc.

I'm also using a Note 20U for at least the next week, then I have to decide which way I'm going. I'm coming from P2, P3, Note 10, P4XL, and Note20U. If I keep the Note 20, I'm trading in the N10, or I would keep it if I keep the P4XL--or I send both back and wait for the P5.

But I'm really liking the Pixel. For me, it's just "light and fun" in a way that I don't find Notes to be, if that makes any sense. But I like the utilitarian Note features.

I am certainly interested in the Pixel 5, but now that I've used my S10 for almost eleven months, I gotta say, I'm loving it...

I'm leaning more towards getting it if the battery life is much better than the 4xl. Been doing a lot more outdoor activities since the pandemic and it would be a big feature

Wait for the drop ..... I'm not sure if I'm jumping onboard .. so the wait will help see what's what

Yeah no rush here ... I'm probably going Fold 2 today and if so it will keep me occupied
Yes I'm other than it being a Samsung Galaxy product, the z-fold two looks amazing and I'm going to watch a live stream in a few hours. I mean I don't like when you I but that type of folding phone with a continuous 9-in tablet touch screen, is perfect for me. Versus the mugshot duo where you have a massive hinge in the center with two separate big screens if you catch my drift.

Yeah don’t like that hinge in the middle ...Obviously always a worry with the screen on the Fold but I’ve heard some had no issues using their first generation...I just hate to give up my Note 10+ man ..I really love this phone...I think ya my fav all time and that’s saying alot with all I’ve bought ..haha

Pixel 4 XL has been solid too ...just like the Note better ..

I mean evening with the first generation, like you said, I haven't heard of any major screen damage issues. with the Microsoft duo you have the massive metallic hand issue so it's really meant for doing applications and multitasking on two different screens at a time. Microsoft says that you can use any one Android app and split it across two screens but it's still going to look weird and funky on two separate screens at the end of the day. thankfully at least I myself do I was Android based so Microsoft did a great job with that one. now I'm by no means saying that the tough stuo is bad phone slash tablet it's a great phone but it has a different purpose and functionality for its users. it's more productivity I want the productivity / multimedia side of things. I strongly like the one UI Samsung Galaxy interface if you cash my drift. Now, with that being said, maybe Google will release a folding pixel phone next year but there aren't even rumors floating around on the internet about that yet so I'm not going to hold my breath for that yet. So right now the Galaxy z phone too is what I'm most excited about.

Yeah don’t see Google jumping in on the fold trend ...they are pushing away from premium high end side ..which I don’t have a problem they are better at mid range IMO ...4a has been received well as expected ..

Yeah I mean I guess they wrote in the folding screen APIs into Android 11 for other manufacturers to take advantage of. who knows what will happen but I'm not holding my breath for them at the end of the day. The z fold 2 looks nice so does the surface duo. Yeah for me though I would be interested in the Galaxy z's phone 2. Too bad it would have one UI on top of Android though..

Haha stock UI would be sick ... Oh well ...

Now Pixel 5 give us some goodies ... Just crazy to think about it they just dumped FaceID ... One year done ... It would've been. Nice to have both face and fingerprints... They pulled an LG on us lol

Yeah, but see at least in my opinion, having 2 different biometric locking methods on a phone is a bit ridiculous though. The fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone is usually more convenient, more secure for sure, and pixel users are more used to it at this point. That's for sure. As far as a stock Android folding phone, I mean yeah, it'd be cool, but Google would also have to implement software features to make amazing use it the massive canvas side! Yeah kling the face id 1 year later is a hilarious move to make but whatever... Yeah, we'll all have to study the newer Pixel 5 when it officially launches.. right now, I'm still currently loving my pixel 3 XL though! Does everything 8 need it 5o do for now at least. I will say that my fingerprint scanner has never once failed me for the amount of times that I'm sure we all unlock and use our phones nowadays!

I totally have no issues with fingerprint unlock on back ... Only thing I like about in screen unlock the back of the phone is clean ... But no biggie ....
