After a week of 6P, I just switched to S7 Edge.
Key pain points of 6P:
1) Camera
Camera experience is awful. It frustrated me the most. Even double clicking the power button, it instantly locks and then brings the camera, which does take few seconds and then if I want to check the gallery, it asks me to unlock.
Both Samsung and iPhone have beaten Nexus 6P here with a great camera experience.
2) Android Pay
I had great expectations using it but it turned out to be yet another frustrating experince. No option to select which card I want to pay with during payment is a big deal breaker to me.
I have used both Samsung Pay and Apple Pay and they do a better job than Android Pay.
3) Bezels everywhere
It didn't bother me first, but after checking out S7 and S7 Edge, it made me realize how bad the 6P bezels are! The phone is huge for no reason when it could have been designed better - Sorry Huawei!
Appreciate Samsung to come up with a bigger phone yet keep the size smaller.
4) 6P and Car mount holder
Boy, that is hard! Due to the placements of the volume buttons, it is impossible to find a good spot to place the phone in the car mount. Every time I place it, the power buttons interfere and brings the volume to mute.
5) Type-C
Sell me what you want, but Type-C isn't mainstream at all. It just became difficult to carry this phone everywhere as now I had to buy Type-C cables.
If you think you can buy them, good luck finding the good ones and be ready to spend an awful lot of money for a cable.
6) Battery
While stock Android should be delivering a stellar experience, I am finding it to be buggy and eating battery a lot.
I didn't find any difference between 6P and S7 Edge battery usage.
7) You get what you pay for
This is absolutely true with 6P. Just because it is cheap, doesn't mean it will have the features you want.
But if you are ready to go up, Samsung's experience is absolutely top of the line, both from hardware and software.
