Know it's tough, but try calling be the stores during the week before going there.
Hope that wasn't directed towards me. No way in hell I'm gonna drive 200 miles to look at a phone.
No, I know I want the smaller one. I had the Nexus 6p, and it wasn't very good for one handed use. Then you have a phone like the 3XL which is around the same physical size, but the screen stretches further towards the top and bottom, meaning you have to stretch your fingers even further to hit what you want. I've had the both iterations of the smaller Pixel and it's just about perfect.
I'm hesitant about the regular 3 only because since the screen stretches further, that it will impact one handed use. I won't know that until I can get one in hand, but that won't happen until it arrives (and before you suggest going to Best Buy, the closest store is 200 miles away from me).

200 miles sounds like a nice road trip...LOL
Wow.....200 miles from Verizon or Best Buy?
Keep us posted on how things go! I too prefer the smaller Pixels for one handed use.
Gives the OL and me a place to go, and stop somewhere in-between and eat.
It's 50 miles one way for me to make be a Best Buy.
Both, at least for a corporate Verizon store. There are Verizon authorized stores (thrid party) that are closer (85-90 miles) but they're hit and miss on what they carry. Mostly they're Galaxy and iPhone models, with a few miscellaneous models sprinkled in.
If I had other business to handle there I'd certainly stop in, but just going to look at a phone? Plus, that's what the 14 day period is for, it's more cost effective to have them ship it to me, try it out, and determine if it will work for me or not. If they didn't have that, I wouldn't upgrade as much as I do now. Otherwise I'd have to figure around $60+ round trip for gas into the cost of the phone. I can afford it, but if I don't have to it's wasteful IMO.
I do like that the Pixel 3 has a larger screen at 5.5 inches, but the price is what dampens my enthusiasm.
Regular 3 for me. XL is too big for the pockets.
