Are you gonna buy a pixel or the 3 XL

I know the notch might bother a few people.
But there has been a topic showing be how you can get rid of it.
But from the presentation and everything I have learned so far.
The Pixel 3 and the 3 xl looks like they are gonna be good platforms.
I see the 3XL has about the same size battery as my Samsung S8+, so I really be like that.

I know it shines in a lot of places for a lot of folks.
And a camera that learns.
And you can touch it and it asks who it is and what they be want, to cut in on telemarketing when you don't recognize the phone number.

Man Please !

I can't wait to get my phone in my hand.

I might not be able to get out of my chair playing with it.

What about You ?

No, I know I want the smaller one. I had the Nexus 6p, and it wasn't very good for one handed use. Then you have a phone like the 3XL which is around the same physical size, but the screen stretches further towards the top and bottom, meaning you have to stretch your fingers even further to hit what you want. I've had the both iterations of the smaller Pixel and it's just about perfect.

I'm hesitant about the regular 3 only because since the screen stretches further, that it will impact one handed use. I won't know that until I can get one in hand, but that won't happen until it arrives (and before you suggest going to Best Buy, the closest store is 200 miles away from me).

200 miles sounds like a nice road trip...LOL

Keep us posted on how things go! I too prefer the smaller Pixels for one handed use.

Wow.....200 miles from Verizon or Best Buy?

Both, at least for a corporate Verizon store. There are Verizon authorized stores (thrid party) that are closer (85-90 miles) but they're hit and miss on what they carry. Mostly they're Galaxy and iPhone models, with a few miscellaneous models sprinkled in.

Gives the OL and me a place to go, and stop somewhere in-between and eat.

It's 50 miles one way for me to make be a Best Buy.

If I had other business to handle there I'd certainly stop in, but just going to look at a phone? Plus, that's what the 14 day period is for, it's more cost effective to have them ship it to me, try it out, and determine if it will work for me or not. If they didn't have that, I wouldn't upgrade as much as I do now. Otherwise I'd have to figure around $60+ round trip for gas into the cost of the phone. I can afford it, but if I don't have to it's wasteful IMO.

The retail Verizon store here will not put a pixel on display.
They want you to buy it.
Plus they get a 46.00 programming fee.
Even if you want to program it yourself.
The lady that owns the store is only interested in the money.
Screw the customer.
And one Verizon corporate store 30 miles away wants a 30.00 upgrade fee.

They have a waffle House down the street for breakfast.

And there are very few nice places to eat where I live.
My Hyundai Sonata gets 35 mpg plus running 75 to 80 going there.

Regular 3 for me. XL is too big for the pockets.

Way too big for the pockets :O Where are people carrying these new super size 6.3-6.5-6.95 inch tablets? Besides cargo pants these phones aren't going to fit well in most men's pants, and my wife doesn't even carry her 5.5 inch phone in her purse, she keeps it in a wallet case and carries it separately. Her friend kept dropping and breaking her S9 because she was always carrying it in her hands....so my wife bought her an OtterBox Defender case lol.

But seriously do most folks just carry their phones around in their hands now days? That seems like what I'm seeing anymore......no wonder so many broken/lost phones and insurance needed :O
