OnePlus 3, HTC 10 to name two phones..
They absolutely nailed it with their features and was so excited for this phone, but at that price - NO THANKS! I'll stick with my Nexus 6P and just get the updates.
I was hoping for the same thing but, I guess I will wait till the nexus 6p does down in price.
The million dollar question is what networks the unlocked version is compatible with. Also, will the VZW version have all of the VZW bloatware...
Holly Cow, Cats, Dogs, and Rats. $769 for XL $32????!!!! This world is going crazy. No thank you, I'll keep my 6P for now. This is disappointing to say the least.
It is priced in line with comparable phonesHolly Cow, Cats, Dogs, and Rats. $769 for XL $32????!!!! This world is going crazy. No thank you, I'll keep my 6P for now. This is disappointing to say the least.
How is it cheaper than the HTC 10???The complaints about the price don't make sense. The Pixel phone is literally cheaper than comparable phones.
The Pixel phone is literally better than those phones. Cheaper than the HTC 10 as well.
It's not a loss for the consumer. Google just decided to stop making midrange phones. That's a big nope from me. They days of the inexpensive flagship from google are over. I've just bought a phone from Honor, and there is no reason for this to cost twice as much. Maybe the camera is better, and maybe the screen is bigger. But it doesn't justify the cost IMO. It can "literally be better", but it doesn't seem like twice the phone... and even if it were, I'm happy where I'm at, and I don't need it.
This new pricing is absurd. But this phone will sell more units than any Nexus before, simply due to the Google branding and how much more they can market the new features. People like taking a loan to buy a phone. I don't, but that's just me, I'd rather pay a reasonable price for something once and own it.
This is a huge win for Google, and a loss for the consumer. I'll stick to my poverty-spec flagships, thank you.
