Are you gonna buy it?

I'm not going to get one, at least this year.

I'll be waiting to see what software updates my 6p is going to get.

They absolutely nailed it with their features and was so excited for this phone, but at that price - NO THANKS! I'll stick with my Nexus 6P and just get the updates.

My sentiments exactly. Nexus 6 here..........:D

for the pixel xl with 128 gig storage, it does seem very expensive. The htc 10 is now on sale for $150 off. It is that much better to justify the $869 price?
Time will tell. Camera probably, screen maybe, but no micro-sd slot is a step back...so I dunno. Basically its a lot of software--which will be exclusive for a while?

Holly Cow, Cats, Dogs, and Rats. $769 for XL $32????!!!! This world is going crazy. No thank you, I'll keep my 6P for now. This is disappointing to say the least.

This really sux! IMO. (only posted in case the google reads this stuff).........

Ordered the very silver 32GB XL. Estimated delivery 10/21 Can't wait to try that camera!

As a Nexus 6P and Note 7 owner, I just can't justify purchasing either of these Pixels. If I had neither I'd strongly consider it, but all that I find appealing is the newest Google software features. Nothing from the hardware perspective really impresses me. I'll be keeping my eyes on what the early adapters have to say though.

That's a big nope from me. They days of the inexpensive flagship from google are over. I've just bought a phone from Honor, and there is no reason for this to cost twice as much. Maybe the camera is better, and maybe the screen is bigger. But it doesn't justify the cost IMO. It can "literally be better", but it doesn't seem like twice the phone... and even if it were, I'm happy where I'm at, and I don't need it.

This new pricing is absurd. But this phone will sell more units than any Nexus before, simply due to the Google branding and how much more they can market the new features. People like taking a loan to buy a phone. I don't, but that's just me, I'd rather pay a reasonable price for something once and own it.

This is a huge win for Google, and a loss for the consumer. I'll stick to my poverty-spec flagships, thank you.

I'm not sure. I was a pretty big Nexus fan. I have to say that for the first time I'm very disappointed. I like the phones, but I'm tired of the way Google operates at times. It's exclusive on Verizon, the very blue only comes in 32GB, and pre orders are sold out already. How can a preorder sell out! Luckily you can order from the Google store when they become available.

It seems like they are trying to sell to the masses, touting that it's made by Google inside and out, which is cool, but this is something I wish they would have done a long time ago with the Nexus phones.

I know I will most-likely still get one, and like it when I get it. I'm just ranting. I'm not as excited about it anymore, and will just wait it out until the phones are available.

Just pre-order with Google Store. Pixel XL 128GB, color black. Transparent XL case. Total amount $899.00

The complaints about the price don't make sense. The Pixel phone is literally cheaper than comparable phones.

The Pixel phone is literally better than those phones. Cheaper than the HTC 10 as well.
How is it cheaper than the HTC 10???

Here in Germany the HTC 10 sells for 549 to 600€. The Pixel phone starts at 769€..

The new pixel phones also do not have OIS: http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/1...ras-will-not-optical-image-stabilization-ois/

Please explain to me, how is the Pixel phone better than the HTC 10? I can only see an advantage in the timely OS updates. Apart from that, there is absolutely nothing that is better on the pixel phone..

It's not a loss for the consumer. Google just decided to stop making midrange phones.
