I respectfully disagree
AMOLED screens are not always better. There are many people that will tell you otherwise. I am saying, let's wait and see.
What about Google Music? I want to have at least 10GB of my music always on my device. This is difficult on a 32GB device. On my HTC 10, I can store the music on the SD card.
There is only one bottom facing speaker. (unfortunately)
My point is that you are paying for the Google name, with the build quality of HTC.
Why not pay HTC directly and get the better deal?
To be honest though...... the HTC 10 is not the same phone. The Pixel might be made by them but not the same user experience tbh. Hardware is better..... software is better.... experience will be better. I had the HTC 10 ..... nice phone.
I don't know how you can say that hardware and software is better. We do not know it yet. Let's wait for the reviews first..
We know for a fact that the Pixel does not have stereo speakers. We also know that it does not have OIS. We know that it is worse in some specs. It has a faster cpu and runs the latest Android version. This does not make it better than the HTC 10 or other flagships.
Let's wait and see..

The HTC 10 could be slower by milliseconds maybe. It's a fast phone. Not everybody puts that much weight into shaving off fractions in speed as that critical. The cam is the best one HTC has put out. Best out there? Nah, of course not, but damn good and the OIS helps make it so. Amoled over LCD is personal preference. Look at the millions of iPhone users. That could care less and tons of them are as tech nerdy as Google fans. What one person prizes in a new phone another says "meh". Not knocking the pixel, would love to have one. Looking forward to see how it all shakes out.AMOLED screens are almost always better. No light bleed/backlighting to worry about. The ability to have always on displays is good too.
If you're concerned about space you can get the 128GB version.
Buying the HTC phone isn't a better deal. You're getting a slower phone and an inferior camera with the HTC 10.
