Are you planning to get the Pixel 7?

Consider keeping the 4a as a spare and putting GrapheneOS on it. It's already been updated to Android 13. Gets updates very often. Also, very secure. Perfect as a backup phone.

Thanks for the idea. Might give that a shot.

I do plan on buying it! I've been eagerly anticipating its launch. So much is happening IRL right now that it's hard to keep up with leaks -- but I'm really looking forward to launch!

I'm quite happy with my Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 7 would have to offer a lot more for me to spend what it would cost to change. If past Pixel experience is any indication, I will be happily using my Pixel 6 Pro for another couple of years.

Done. So far digging it. Liking the simplicity and securiry. Might keep my P4a as primary.
Thanks again for the tip.

If we get face unlock and a brighter screen. Then yeah. If not, then the P6 will do for another year. Then again I like the slight redesign and color choices this year.

, I'll see all of you in the preorder thread..

I need to know that the 5G and Wi-Fi will be improved. I have my P6P sitting next to my S22 Ultra and my P6P has no Wi-Fi signal from my router, whereas my S22 Ultra shows a good signal. Very frustrating.

Agreed. If I had the Pixel 6, I wouldn't upgrade. I feel like a two- or three-iteration jump is justifiable as far as Pixel upgrades are concerned.

Thinking of replacing my 4A with the 7. It is near the end of monthly security updates and no more system updates so might be time and as good a reason as any LoL. They were offering $300 trade on the 6A which was a great deal but not sure the 7 will be as generous with the trade in. I'm kind of thinking a little higher end specs all around quality might be worth the extra cash.
That's where I am. Since I got the great trade-in deal using my P4a to get the Pixel 6a I'm kind of spoiled. So it will depend on the trade-in deal offered using my recently retired Pixel 6 Pro.

I guess I do too, although you just made me think about it lol. I've went the 1>3>6 route. I guess I now know I'll be getting the 9 next (or maybe the 8 if I get weak :p )

So no 7 for me ;)

LOOL I bend my own rules, too! Sometimes, you just gotta take the plunge!

I really want the 7 series to succeed. But there is simply no way I am buying another Pixel UNTIL the real end user reviews come in. No more expensive beta testing from me!

So, Oct 6 @ 10:00 AM EDT is the launch event. I could be wrong, but I don't recall a previous Pixel launch starting so early (I'm on the West coast), but I'll be there.

I've been very happy with my Pixel 6, apart from taking several months to sort out the fingerprint sign on. The 7 doesn't seem a lot different so I'll probably stick what what I've got.

I'm going to pay close attention to the feel of the P7. I'm one of those that found the the P6 pro to feel a bit cheap in hand. The s22 ultra has a much more premium feel. I don't like the hollow and plasticky feel of the P6P.
