Are you planning to get the Pixel 7?

OMG! I'm pre ordering the 7 Pro... And was going to order the new Pixel watch for my wife. If true then.. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

I think people are underestimating how much of the Pixel 6's heat issues were caused by an external antenna. I remember when this was a thing as 4G hit the scene. I touched many phones in areas with poor reception that got really hot. An external antenna draws more power than one that is integrated and more power = more heat. When signal isn't great and it draws more power to maintain connection, things can get really hot.

People owe it to themselves to see how the new setup works on the Pixel 7 Pro. I have multiple devices in my arsenal that I'll be pulling out to compare real world situations.

I'm sure the external modem contributes to it to the heat/battery, but do we know if the Pixel 7 will have an integrated modem? I'm not confident the Tensor G2 has leapfrogged the Tensor in terms of performance, power and heat. It's still using the same hot, inefficient & old cores the Tensor did. They just upgraded the GPU.

Looks like face unlock is back

Without the face unlocking hardware of the iPhone/Pixel 4, I suspect this will be less accurate/secure than those phones. Might be on par with other Android phone face unlock methods which is not great.

Just got the 6A recently so no plan to go to 7. I'll probably hold onto the 6A until they start dumping off the 7's cheap.

I wish they’d offer the same specs in the smaller device. Not everyone likes big phones.

I wish they would, too! This is my gripe. My hands are too small for enormous phones -- or, my wallet is too small for huge prices of huge phones. I guess we'll see what happens when I go and hold them in the store.

I can't wait! Woooo!!!! Just a couple more days.

Curious what kind of trade in deals they'll have for phones (specifically P6Pro). Googles usually aren't that great.

Last year I got my P6P on Amazon and sold my other phone on Mercari. Plus I got a return window up to January 1st (which I'll never use anyways, but never know).

Just one more reason I'm keeping my Pixel 5 for a while. Love the size and incredibly light weight.

My S22 plus is the perfect size for me. It doesn't feel tall and narrow like the xl/ultra/pro models of other phones. This was my main gripe with the Pixel 4xl that I had. Also it's nice on my S22 plus to have a bright 120hz screen.

I really do miss the camera on Pixel phones though. I will say the camera app lag on my S22 plus is frustrating sometimes even though it takes great photos. If google would get on the same level as Apple and Samsung, I'd definitely consider buying a Pixel.

I have a Tab S8, S22 plus, Galaxy Buds 2 and Watch 5. They all interface and communicate well together. This is where Google will have to get to for me to consider coming back. I can pause a song on my phone, and then play a YouTube video on my tablet and my Galaxy Buds switch automatically to the tablet seamlessly. I'm sure Pixel Buds work very well with Pixel phones or similar.

That's an interesting question. I'm not sure what the trade ins will be like. I still have a great condition Pixel 5 but I'm unsure if they will accept it.

Yeah google doesn't provide great trade in values. You'd think with all the problems with the pixel 6, google would be a bit more generous this time around.

Haven't the early problems with the Pixel 6 models been largely remedied? By the time I bought mine in April, it seemed that the most frequently cited issues had been addressed and resolved. Based on my own experience and the reports I've seen from others here, the Pixel 6 devices generally appear to be providing excellent, reliable service, at least since the middle of the model year. One could fairly complain that the phone should have been less problematic when released; but at this point, I don't see why Google would discount the value of the Pixel 6 line beyond normal measure as a trade-in.

Not that it will have any effect, but there are those advocating for $400/$600 trade-in for the P6 & P6P, respectively, as a sign of good will and appreciation for the loyalty through all the months of crap we put up with. Kick in the rumored Pro Buds or Pixel Watch, to boot, and all is forgiven, Google. :)

My FPS still isn't right, specifically on the AOD. And the modem is crap, I deal with it every day. And camera specs aside, picture quality has taken a step back, IMO.
