AT&T Android 11 Post changes you notice, any bugs that need attention or apps not working?

I think what you'll find is more changes than bugs. The critical bugs have been addressed and the beta program is still open for feedback. If you find a bug let me know and I'll report it.

Hopefully that is the case most of the time but it happens. Look at T-mobile... They pulled their Android 11 update shortly after releasing it on the S20 series. The don't do stuff like that for no reason.

You mean the null message? Happens when I close a lot of different apps.

Ah... As you can see o. The bottom of page attached it happens when I'm just going back a page on a website.

Could be related to their specific add ons or something that specifically impacts their network. We don't know because no explanation was given.

That's usually a bug in the programing or app

But it happens in multiple apps. I'll test further.
Thats what I mean because it's happening in more then 1 app , might have to factory reset .

Well that would suck. And that is the downside of OS updates with Android over iOS.

With iOS if an issue... Cloud restore and EVERYTHING is back the way it was down from every app installed to the multiple tabs open in your browser to the passwords stored for each app and website.

If you do a reset in Android... it's never restored 100%. I use to follow a routine of a factory reset after an Android OS update because of this but was trying to avoid it. I was lucky with my Note 8 that I didn't need to after 1st OS update. Ugh.

Well, the Null message is just a visual annoyance that quietly fades away after some time and doesn't seem to cause anything. Used the phone last couple days traveling in Texas from morning to night and running as good if not better than before the update... except for that pop up. I'll keep it as is for a while, keep playing with it if I can fix it, or maybe they'll be an app/service update that will correct it before I hit the reset. If I do... maybe I'll do it Jan 1st to start the new year fresh. F. U. 2020 lol.

Just don't bypass the filters lol

LOL, I wasn't even thinking about filters when I typed it. I'm not one to type out the whole words and wasn't even thinking abbreviating it was a no-no. Anyways, my bad.

There is an app called Toast Source in the Play Store that will save these notices and show you the app that's causing it. Maybe it'll work here and help you find what's causing that?

Thanks for the suggestion and I had thought about that but found out after the update my WhatsApp wasn't showing contact avatar and telephone number instead of names on top of the Null message and after mustangs suggestion I said Ta Heck With It!!, made sure my pics were backed up to SD and wiped the whole phone .

After a few hours of my life that I'll never get back restoring from backups from Samsung and Google gets me back to... 75%(??) and started re-setting up some things like Whatsapp, email accounts, re-disabled some AT&T bloatware I called it a night @ around 2am. Now I'll just have to slowly work on that remaining 25% during the week and then they'll always be those one or two settings that will pop up weeks later until hopefully close to 100% by new years. :'(

Not like when I restored my iPad Pro last week cause I closed some browser tabs of site I needed and forgot the URL... Erase, Set-up, Restore from cloud... 100% within the hour without any fear of any settings lost or passwords, etc.

But the Null pop up is gone and phone should be running at max performance after a factory erase.

I HATE the Open UI 3.0 Android 11 update!!! My calendar on the always on lock screen is no longer available. Also, I can no longer hide the camera cutout and now have to deal with the camera hold while playing games.

The update did screw up some of my games at first, but that seems to be better now.

This update SUCKS and I'm not sure why it was needed. I guess it gives people a job designing new updates, but if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Glad everything ok after factory reset , I know no one wants to do those , don't blame you but sometimes needed.

I’m ok with doing a factory reset after a major OS update and use to follow that rule for years... but just so much work on Androids...

But after wiping my phone and slowly having to go through each app to sign back in to each account, I got the NULL pop up again!!... but at least I think I know which app did it...

Firefox Lockwise app seems to be causing the NULL pop up in apps.

It happened after I set Lockwise as my default Autofill service for filling in login info in apps and sites. I leave the app like my bank app after using it to fill in login info and get the NULL. I change the default back to Samsung Pass and hasn’t came back so far. Kinda see how it can be that app cause it has access to basically all apps.

if I am certain it’s Lockwise I’ll try to report it and hope they can resolve in futur update. App works if you just want to go into it to look for password I think. Just causes error in auto filling.

This helped me. I wasn't getting any pop ups for notifications at all, until I turned on detailed instead of brief. One would think that "brief" should at least still give you a notification pop up, instead of sending the notification straight to the notification shade.
