I downloaded the wrong damned file - that's why my phone wiped! I'm at ARK3 instead of ARK5... I'm off all day and I try doing this stuff at midnight! I'll learn one of these days! Now I have to Odin back to ARJ7 and start over... ugh!

I downloaded "N960USQS1ARJA-to-U1ARK3" instead of "N960USQS1ARJA-to-U1ARK5" link!

The reason she was failing is, the patch file needs to see the first version in the file name you're changing from to be correct before it will let you change or it will abort. Where she was CRG9 or something, that was probably giving her problems... it was a really old build! Needed to go way back... ??? What version is she now that it took the other night?

I was on arg9. It's now on August. I just got my phone back to where I like it. I'm scared to try anything else. Lol

It was easy lol
Just you end up wiping (meaning factory reset)
If you hit update anything happens?

Check in a couple days
Do you feel comfortable now to do it if you have to ?
I'll guide anytime you need me
Do what? Update it through the SD card? I don't want to have to keep setting up my phone. I lied when I said I'd be ok if my phone got wiped. It was not ok. Lol

Thanks for the help and if I decide to try again I'll let you know.

Can anyone help me to figure out what I need to do to upgrade to a more current firmware?

Stock ATT purchased in South Florida. I'm on a firmware build that NO ONE else seems to be on or possibly ever have been on ..I don't get it and when I check for updates it always says the software is up to date but I'm on the July security patch still

AT&T Firmware N960USQU1ARG9

Read some pages back if you want to do update with sd card and only if your familiar with those stuff. It can factory reset your device .

I'm just not sure which firmware version I should be flashing to?

I'm fairly tech savvy so I can probably figure out the process.
