I've got no issues with the 4.3 update. I don't really like the text message notification on the home screen but that's my only complaint.

Hi there, i am unable to update my at&t galaxy s3 to android 4.3. Its sim unlocked, I had purchased it when i was in US. Now i am in India my android version is still 4.1.1
Whenever I try to do so it show that your software is up to date please check after 48 hrs. Can anyone please help me.

My Keyboard has gained a huge amount of lag when it opens up. Instead of flowing upwards, the app jerks upwards and the keyboard materializes. It really bothers me, and I wonder if anyone else had the same problem or knows how to fix it.

Just got my upgrade so far I'm liking it... got some goodies to play with and some other stuff I have to get used to. I've only used it for about an hour so I'm sure there'll be some kinks that will pop up.

I had so many glitches with this upgrade. 1) Notification ringtone, 2) WiFi telling me my connection was unstable, 3) Lag in the keyboard, 4) Downloads issue and I had a bunch of other problems.

I finally wiped cache, formatted phone, and wiped cache again all from the recovery screen and have not had a single issue since.

The update is very nice.

I too am having the flash issue - howeer; mine is happening for email notification. I disabled email notification and that resolved issue for me, though I am not happy with that as a fix. :-\

I was using Maildroid until I just did a factory reset. Before I was using it on my 4.3 updated S3. I noticed it was having issues. Have not tried it on clean install. Maildroid is really the best one I've found. There is a support page and the dev has readily responded to me in the past.

Agreed. So far it has been the best. I started using it when K9 became unreliable, then I had to uninstall K9 when it went into run away battery eating mode. I'll forward my issue to the dev and put in another app for backup. Push is mission critical for me.

So, the only way to get the app shortcuts on the Lock screen is to use the swipe option?? I use the PIN option and don't have the option available. I've tried to switch to Swipe, and set the Lock screen shortcuts, but after I go back to the PIN option, the shortcuts aren't there anymore. I can't use the swipe option for unlocking my phone--does this mean I've lost the application shortcuts as well? That would suck!

Ok I would be careful transferring your apps to your SD card now. After transferring a half dozen I got the message that it would not transfer. Then my SD card crashed and now I have lost everything on my card. 1000 pics hours of music and all my transferred apps. Anyone know how to recover my data?

I opened the photos app and it offered to sync my pics in the cloud like calendar and address book entries. No help with you current issue unless you already did that or it's automatic, but a solution going forward.

Upgraded today. Of all the issues mentioned here, I only had the recurring notification of downloaded files, which I cleared by clearing the cache, and the fact that damned AT&T found a way to kill the free mobile hotspot apps (I've using DYI Tethering). Other than that, all good (MailDroid still works great, thankfully!!) - with the exception of the Calendar notifications.

The Calendar notification has 3 settings - Alert, Status Bar Notification and Off. I've always had it as Status Bar Notification, so no Alert would appear in the lock screen. Now, the Alert appears in the lock screen even when I have Status Bar selected; the only way to not have the Alert on the lock screen is to set the Notifications to Off, in which case I don't have notifications on the Stats Bar either. Any ideas??

i still have camera flashing issues when a new email arrives and when i have my sms popups screen (textra) and i receive a call at same time.

Yeah, this really sucks. Another bad decision by Samsung.

After the update my phone freezes from time to time causing me to have to hold the power button down until it reboots. Some forum members have recommended a factory reset with a cache wipe. I'm not familiar with how to do that. Can someone shed some light on how to do this or share any other suggestions? Thanks.

Might try settings/my device/accessibility/ next to last option (flash notifications) might be checked.

On the lock screen settings, you need to have Multiple widgets checked. Swipe the clock on the lock screen and then you should see the + to add a widget. Then you can add Dashclock and then move it to your main lockscreen page. It took me a little bit to figure it out.

But this option seems to only be available when using 'swipe' without security for the lock screen. I have tried adding a widget and then switching back to using a security option; only to be shown the lock screen with my personal message again. I can't switch over to another screen when security is enabled.
