Disregard my question. You answered it in a previous post. Thank you.

Perhaps I overlooked this but although the Gear S2 will work with any phone just as any other wearable (although the Gear S2 offers standalone mode with a separate line), number sync only works with iPhone and Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge.
I am still using my Mega 6.3 because I love the screen real estate. Because the Mega 6.3 doesn't support HD Voice, number sync can't even be activated on either device. Probable buyers please make note of this. Just because you're on the AT&T network does not mean you can purchase a Gear S2 and it work to it's fullest capability using all offered features. Your phone must support HD Voice!

so I just tried the number sync with my Galaxy S5. I got everything synced just fine. I made a test call to my self my phone and watch both rang. I went to decline with my watch but the call continued through to my cell. So I had to decline it there also.. So I turned off the number sync..So I don't really know the advantage of having the number sync.. without it. All calls are forwarded. I can make a call using my watch (even remotely) and my cell number still comes on on the caller ID. The only time my watch number comes up is if my cell phone is turned off. So again, I really don't understand what the advantage of having number sync.
I just had an interesting time getting it all configured. My issue was the primary number on the account is not a smart phone with HD voice. This will cause the feature to not be available. The conclusion of the issue is to set up an AT&T access ID with the phone number being used and then do the normal setup.
As for NumberSync and battery testing. NumberSync seems to be working as should both ring and in standalone mode (no Bluetooth) it will ring on the watch and messages do come over. I will update later about battery life once I do have it fully running for a day. I plan to be using a Samsung Level U headset for music with it as well.
It depends, because what you didn't say was the most important part. Were you in Bluetooth mode? Because to truly test it, you could've turned off your cell and then dialed your cell's number, at this point your S2 should ring. And then dial a number from your S2 to another phone and see if your cell's number is showing versus your S2's number.
That's how I understand number sync. If the cell phone is off and the S2 is in standalone mode sync activated), all calls coming in are routed the the S2 and all calls made from the S2 show your original cell number. Correct?

I cannot get Numbersync to stay connected to save my life. I keep getting a message that it's disconnected and all my messages that I try to send from the watch fail. AT&T has been 0 help with figuring this out. I even tried to get them to help me set up the Access ID and they couldn't figure that out either...

All you have to do is chat with AT&T customer service and they will fix the issue. I had to do the same so I logged on to my account and after 10 minutes they fixed it. Doing it yourself won't fix it (I tried everything.) They set up both my line and my girl friends line so two gear s2s total.
The primary number is what is used. Once it is set you should see the device and a link for "Activate NumberSync" or "Sync this Device." Once you see that link you will input the NumberSync code from the watch and it takes about 20 seconds.
