Silly question but do you have an active AT&T SIM in the device?

You can update using your computer at HTC's US website www.htc.com/us Click-Support-HTC One (AT&T) It's under "News & Downloads" You have to install HTC Sync Manager first or update to v2.1.77.0 *Full link-
https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...d%3D628%26p_name%3Dhtc-one-att&token=7n1ZgXOF EDIT: This will erase your phone. Make sure you read the full instructions. NOTE: One other way is to set your phones date ahead by a day or two and then check for updates.

It shouldn't, it should apply the update just as OTA would.
User "AwJim" on this post updated this way after I posted it and he didn't post any issues with the update.

Re: HTC 4.3 update is live!

I'm not able to update on my Unlocked phone either. Its unlocked from T-Mobile to ATT. If I do a manual update, is it done as an AT&T update or T-mobile? I never know which the phone is considered, an AT&T or T-mobile.

On the HTC website, in the manual update instruction, it says all your information will be erased. Better have your phone backed up.

Ok, I see that now, Sorry. Other than that and trying to set your date ahead for OTA update are the only ways I know. I guess you need to decide how bad you want the update. Wish I could help more.

My personal opinion after any major OS update you should perform a factory reset. It gives the device a fresh start and wipes out any garbage left behind. So using the AT&T website update which wipes may not be a bad idea.

Before hand you can still use either HTC Sync or an app like Helium to backup apps & data so you don't look the important stuff.

My phone has "updated" twice--downloaded, installed, optimized apps, but after reboots I'm still on 4.1.2. This is very frustrating.

Thanks

Gary, curious if you watched the phone during the whole process? My wife's phone keeps failing the update: it downloads, reboots, and begins the installation. About 2 minutes in, the green circle arrows changes to a red triangle. Then a minute or two later, the phone reboots and it's still on 4.1.2.

Is this a Bug,.. When i'm in Blinkfeed, lets say I Click and Article, Once i'm in the article when i Click the home button it goes back to BlinkFeed,. when I click home again it goes to the top of BlinkFeed then I have to Click Home a Third Time to get to my home page ???

I'm Almost sure this was not the case before the update,. Home Button took me right home..

Re: AT&T HTC One 4.3 update is live! (Discussion Thread)

Attempting to update my wife's One and the update would download, the phone reboot, the begin the update. After about 30 seconds, the green "circle arrows" would change to the red triangle with exclamation point, sit there for a few minutes, then reboot back into 4.1.2. Rinse and repeat.

At one point, I rebooted into bootloader, then attempted to go into recovery. After a bit, again got the red triangle/exclamation point, then reboot. Now, I get the "optimizing applications screen, then reboot, more optimization, reboot.

After about a half-dozen reboots, I figured the install was a bust, so I did a factory reset from fastboot, and started setting her phone up again. So glad Google automatically restores apps and many settings. Still on 4.1.2, and it wants to download the update again. Wife is a bit upset ;^/.

Anyway, that's been my experience. YMMV.
