AT&T HTC One 4.3 update is live! (Discussion Thread)

Re: AT&T HTC One 4.3 update is live! (Discussion Thread)

10 days since the release and I'm still unable to download the update 4.3 with my htc one AT&T which is not rooted and not unlocked, like new out of the box.
I'm on wifi, when I change the date of the phone to 3 more days or one more month I have an error message stating that the servers are unavailable. I've even rebooted the phone. I have also tried through downloading it the HTC website, however I'm using a mac and the RUU file for the update is an .exe file just for windows or pc so not working here. Can someone help for this ? Thanks,

Its not rolled out to your area yet (at&t is slow to do these things) i would call customer service and have them push you the update
Do not try to install uner anything but a 100% battery low charge can brick it as it will take at least 15 mins and 10-20% of the battery and dont hold it that cpu will be hot put it under a fan mite help

I am a smartphone novice so I was not certain how long these upgrades took. After about 16 hours of patience and some frustration, it completed the upgrade to 4.3. Much thanks to many on this thread for advice such as turning WiFi on and off a few times to get it moving again when it seemed to stall. Finally it is done!

Re: HTC 4.3 update is live!

I am having the same issues as the others. I thought it upgraded but is still booted into 4.1.2. I tried the manual HTC instructions and it fails every time. I thought maybe my phone had the bootloader unlocked which might cause a problem but after some research on XDA, it isn't unlocked so it is still ready for AT&T. I did a factory reset and still nothing. I tried turning the fastboot option off and tried again and it failed. I am now changing the date and it is currently downloading the AT&T software. I will update if it works. Any other ideas if this doesn't work????

UPDATED:
I watched it go through everything and no errors. Still on 4.1.2. HELP???

Ok, I chatted with HTC and we found a winner:
Problem: Windows 8.1 desktop.
Solution: Windows 7 Laptop
1. Put the phone in Fastboot menu - power off, hold volume down and then power till the menu comes up. Push the power button 1 time. It is now in Fastboot menu.
2. Plug into laptop/PC
3. Start RUU file (manual download method as written by HTC - the difference is I didn't use the HTC Sync Manager)
4. Follow the directions on the screen
5. Completed successfully - 4.3

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks. Where do you find the update files? I'm having the same problem and when I went to the HTC website the Android update files seem to have been removed.
