Re: HTC 4.3 update is live!

Hi..
I unlocked my AT&T phone for any GSM network.
how can I OTA update my phone for 4.3 ?

You should be fine as long as you have your AT&T SIM card in the device for verification.

Disable it and use chrome same browser base since 4.1 and chrome gets updated as the version in the rom doesn't

i use chrome because i really like the syncing across my laptop, tablet and phone...but damn chrome strikes me as a power hog whenever i use it.

I Have an Unlocked AT&T HTC One using outside of the USA,.. I don't have an Active AT&T Sim Card,.. When I check for Software update it just checks and nothing happens..

Any Ideas ???

Here is the Official AT&T HTC One Android 4.3 Changelog

- Improved notification bar with quick access to many of the most popular settings.

- The integration of Instagram™ into HTC BlinkFeed.

- The ability to lock the camera focus and exposure on a specific target within the viewfinder.

- An updated HTC gallery user experience.

- HTC Zoe? updates that include:
- The option to change the file format of Zoe capture to a 3-second MP4 video and one second still JPG photo. This change will significantly reduce the amount of storage space used when capturing Zoe shots.

- Updated visualizer features within the HTC Music app.

- The ability to add widgets to the lock screen.

- New home key secondary functions to quickly access either Google Now or the menu.

- New settings for the battery percentage notification.

As far as I can tell you need to have an active AT&T SIM in the device to receive the update since its coming from AT&T's servers not HTC.

If that's the case it's sad,.. It should be able to talk to AT&T Via Wifi,..

From time to time to phone checks for Updates and Returns a message that none was found.. That normally happens early in the morning,.. I guess I'll wait abit more and see..

And AT&T is not gonna post the update on their site ?

I understand your frustrations but since its an AT&T authorized update and being pushed out from AT&T that is why the active AT&T SIM is required for verification purposes.

When you unlock the phone from the carrier its like leaving home.

All I have dug up from a quick search @ AT&T site...

Update the Software for the HTC One (PN07120)- AT&T Wireless Support*

Yea I saw that,.. It just tells how to get the update,.. no actual File is there to download,.. grrrr

For everyone looking for the update, it can be found on HTC's US website at HTC - Homepage Click-Support-HTC One (AT&T) It's under "News & Downloads" You have to install HTC Sync Manager first or update to v2.1.77.0 *I had to update sync manually because my version said it was current and it wasn't. Sweeeet,.. Seems they just updated this as i was checking and it was showing the LTE Update..

I actually found this yesterday on accident after I updated my phone. After the update phone wouldn't connect with the sync mgr.

I cant not get the update I have tried everything I have a mac and cant open the download.
Any other ideas?
thx

I have no idea how Mac's work, maybe a friend or neighbor would let you use their PC to do the update?

I finished downloading the update, but before I could install it, my battery level got too low and I had to recharge. Now that my battery level is back up, I can't finish the update. When I go to the update through settings, it says "Continue Update" and pushing it does nothing. I've tried restarting my phone, shutting it down, turning off wifi, using mobile data, etc. Any suggestions?

ETA: Oddly enough, it finally pushed through after restarting the phone again (for the millionth time).

I had the exact same experience! Dang download took way too long and my battery drained faster that I thought it would. I had to reboot the phone (with fast boot disabled) and that got the update to work finally.
