AT&T KitKat for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Report Issues and Problems Here

Re: AT&T KitKat for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Report Issues and Problems Here

I updated mine but as soon as it rebooted, it started freezing and now every time I reboot it, it works for about 30 seconds and then it just freezes up again. I cleared the cache and did a factory reset but nothing.

Yours "may" require the Rom to be re-flashed at a samsung or at&t store. It would appear that a bug in the software before, during or after your update, corrupted some files.

Have you tried unchecking Auto Network Switch in Advanced Bluetooth Settings?

You mean in the Advanced settings in wifi ? I always leave that unchecked. It is not that.

Also, the message pops up on 2 different routers. Basically 4.4.2 did not fix it. Other than that the update is good.

2 issues.

1. I'm having slow response from the home button and have had to reboot the phone at times to get it to work at all.

2. Right now streaming hbo go to chrome cast with the charger plugged in, and "active screen" continues to blink on and off. Charger usually fine, and never had an issue before.

Try clearing cache on dolphin browser. If that doesn't work...uninstall/reinstall perhaps.

That worked thanks. Now I can't download to my SD Card. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling see if that works.

To anyone using Hangouts.

Emojis are now within the keyboard. Long press the settings key and then click on the smiley. All of the emojis will appear.

Looking more like a reset is in order, sorry! Just use Kies 3 Program to back up your Note 3, that, along with google, and everything will be saved!

Found the issue! The app "Automate It" is not playing nice with the newly released update. Once I, force stopped it, Note 3 locks properly. Was so close to hard resseting!! Will be uninstalling this app and reporting the issue to them. Thank you for the suggestions.

That's great news!

I noticed that my home WiFi disconnects for the duration of voice calls, then re-connects within 30 seconds after I hang up. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a way to keep WiFi connected during voice calls?

I thought that KitKat would fix this, but after updating to KitKat, I am still experiencing the same issue.

(I posed this in another thread, but posting here again, since this remains an issue in KitKat)

have you tried re enabling the aut switch for wifi networks? I did this and have had no issues since

Well, I updated to Kit Kat overnite. When I woke up I noticed the camera icon on my lock screen. Cool. Except that it is worthless. A shiny new icon that does nothing when you press on it. Its pretty, but useless so far. Any thoughts?

^ You are supposed to swipe the camera icon, not press it.

So has anyone had random reboots. Like the screen will lock up then just reboot. Hopefully a master reset will solve it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Lol... You don't push on it, you slide it upwards! Lol

I have a stock note 3 At&t version. I accidently hit the confirmation button for the Kitkat update and want to stop it permanently from updating. The main reason is the battery drain issues I've read about.

I've turned off my Wi Fi to temporally stop it and that has worked. It has only downloaded 7% or 30+mb. I've rebooted the phone after I wiped the cache partition and it still downloads when I turn Wi Fi back on. I've tried to find where it is being downloaded to so I can delete it it but no luck.

Please tell me how I can permanently stop this Kitkat update from downloading.

Up to you of course. But of the millions of people who've gotten the update, at most a few dozen have reported a battery-drain problem. Almost everyone seems to be getting the same or slightly better battery performance after the update.

I was going to tell you to simply turn off/disable AT&T Software Update in Application Manager, but it seems that 4.4 KK does not allow you to disable it anymore, you can only stop the process. Perhaps I'm missing something, or having a brain fart I guess! This would suck if you cannot disable it.

I guess nobody else is having random rebooting issues.

My stock ATT Note works fine after updating. I don't have any problems yet. All apps are updated and work fine.

Ty for the response. I guess I'm paranoid. I love my Note 3 and just can't bear to have issues with it since I use it constantly. I'm thinking about just letting it update. The other issue I'm afraid of is the SD card issue.
