What "stock android" roots are there, if any, for the at&t G2? Also, what features would I loose by rooting to a stock android ie: no OIS on camera, noise cancelling Mic on back, knock knock, things of that nature.

You may want to familarize yourself and understand the difference between rooting and flashing a ROM before you do anything else. After than, a stock Android ROM does not have any of the UI features or enhancements. So anything that is specific to LG's interface and proprietary apps will be lost. You may like or dislike this. There are a lot of people who only want stock Android and then there are others who are indifferent and prefer Sense, Touchwiz, etc.... It's really a preference thing. It's always a good thing to backup your current ROM before flashing anything. That way if something goes wrong you can revert or if you just didn't like the ROM you went to. So again, take some time to learn a little about those things and read and read some more. I have a link in my signatures to help with the basics. Good luck.
