AT&T LG G3 update (2/10/15) LOLLIPOP!

These notifictations are kicking my *** lol I hate them on the lock screen unless it's a text that's the only one I want to come up how do I do that

I believe the easiest action would be to adjust which apps are "private" and which aren't. Any private app won't put a notification there. Not sure if you can make private the default though. Don't ask me how to do all that though. Patiently waiting for Rogers to catch up.

By the way... My phone seems to be doing well... Too so too really say.. Since i vary day from on usage... Feels smoothier... Definitely keep you informed

Got the update message today, it went through the update, had problems updating Google Play Services and something had gone bad. Now it's in a loop that sends it to the AT&T globe screen for a minute, then back to the home screen for a minute with no functionality (can't really use any apps, there is no home button, widgets not working), then back to the globe. I've tried taking out battery, it just goes back to this loop.

Updated this morning. Actually done in two parts and the first one went without a problem, the second part took longer, and it appeared to get hung up about 35% but I just waited and it eventually completed. After updating all apps and restarting, I also got the message to update Google Play Services, which went without a hitch. I've had no problems with the phone all day, and the battery life appears pretty amazing (after much use today I am at 95%) so I'll see how that goes. I don't like the loss of the ability to install widgets on the lock screen because the stock clock is smaller than what I want. But my research today indicates that they wanted more real estate on the lock screen for notifications, so they did away with widgets (which they felt weren't be used anyway). I get all my usual notifications including email (I use Gmail) and texts (I use Textra). For the most part, everything feels very much like Kit Kat.

Ive got the lollipop update in uk on o2 and its working fine and loving the new style menu and back buttons etc 😍

24 hours later after update, my phones running nice. Still will have to see after a week or so but... it feel smooth if not smoother than before the update. And I think the battery is running as well if not a bit better than before. And l like the new notifications.

Is there a way to take notifications off the lock screen I have a weather app and it's always on there

Any one out there know if and where the trusted locations setting is so I can have my phone unlocked when I'm home?
This was a feature I was really hoping to use once we got updated to lollipop.

Other than that, updated today without any real hitches. Was draining my battery pretty quickly at first and running hot but pulled the battery and restarted and everything seems to be running fine. We'll post if something else should come up.

Found one thing i am not liking at all.

They removed the ability to change from sound and vibrate ring by press and holding the power button.

Anyone know of a faster way without unlocking screen? Or how to bring it back?

I've been looking for a way around that too but no luck, I hate to unlock the phone just to change it.

As other have mentioned, my phone updated itself overnight. So far over a day of use, battery usage does show a little more but not that much.

Some of my Tasker stuff have been disabled though, particularly Media Utilities having problems with Spotify, and also Bluetooth has been picky on connecting to my car audio, but once it's connected there's no audio lag. I don't get this priority thing, convoluted if you ask me.

I couldn't figure out how to make alarm work even if the phone is on silent mode. There is a priority mode for keeping the alarm on but I have to select it every time, I can't just put my phone into silent mode.

Noticed the update size has changed and rolled the dice, all is good! Liking the new look!

Mine did the auto update over night. Seems to be running fine so far.

Upgraded my LG G3. No issues. ... No longer get momentary icon in circle case window indicating wireless charging, but red LED oscillates and wireless charging works. Operation seems smoother. Too soon to tell if battery life is diminished, but considering the installation process that warmed the back of the phone, and using Waze for a half hour without a charger, I still had 46% battery left at night.

My SD card keeps unmounting. I have to go into storage settings and click mount. Anyone having this issue?

And my app icons keep changing to those generic android icons rather than the apps icon and back again upon reboot.

Suggestions? Especially on SD issue.

Fully charged and unplugged before I went to sleep last night... had a couple of notifications come in at middle of night but basically 9 hours 25 minutes later it's at 98%. At least no weird drain going on for now. During the day yesterday it held up well... as well or better than before the update.

I'm interested in everyone's battery life (on screen time) compared to kit Kat.
