AT&T upgrade question w/installment and $1000 credit

I don’t remember the last time AT&T offered a good deal except when I got my iPhone 1 and the data plan was $20 I believe. Timing was right and had to jump on this.

Absolutely. I didn't plan on upgrading, but my wife needed to upgrade her S8Plus. So I took a dive.

C5 Z06 2001 was my first, now 2017 Z06, looking to trade that up for the new C8 Z06 when launch. I haven't updated my profile so I just let this one up.

NICE!!! The 2017 is a bad azz looking car. Love the Grand Sports too when I see them cruising around. For me I feel they get the whole “look” just right at the end of their product runs.

The C9 is already insanely fast base but hasn’t grown on me. But I expect as they done in past tweak the bodywork, widen the wheel wells and stuff proper bad azz tires and other stuff that they will do a proper job with the Z07.

Now I wanna pull my Z06 out and find some road to row through the gears with.

Yes it is which is why ATT doing it made Verizon look worse than usual. There may be something on Black Friday perhaps..

It's rare for all carriers to give incentives to current customers.

Me either, at least not just yet. I had a few more months before I could upgrade, but I couldn't pass this up.

This is what it said. It simply said if you have next up, you won't get an additional credit of $5. Am I miss understanding this? I even verify this with CSR.

If buying on the AT&T Installment Plan with Next Up, customer is responsible and will not receive any credits for an additional $5/mo. for the Next Up upgrade feature

Correct you still have to pay the $5/mo next up fee. I also misspoke, I meant save 1000$ and not 1300$

So playing around on the website it looks like I'd pay $10/mo for an Ultra 128gb if I bought an iPhone 7 for 150$ and traded in.

It doesn't make sense to me to pay the extra $5/mo for next Up because if you trade in early you lose all the credits for the following months ($43/mo). Seems only really worth it if you stuck it out for the whole 30 months. Then the phone would have in total cost $300 since you pay the $150 for the iPhone trade in But you also can still get the $150 pre-order Samsung cash.

So if you upgrade in 15 months (not 12 like it used to be) then you are free and clear of the phone once you return it. You can then do whatever you want...note 21, iPhone 13 or whatever...starting from $0. Your credits stop, but so do your charges.

You can upgrade in 12 months, or even after 1 month, but you would have to pay the remaining payments (up to 15) and would not receive any credits to offset those payments... but again...you would be free and clear and back to zero.

Calling in all those that received an email about their trade-in process from ATT. What did you get out of that email? I noticed it said, "Within 7 days, they'll be sending a package for return"

That's what I got out of the email as well. They will send the package for you to send the phone off in.

Now if I can figure out where the credit is for accessories from Samsung. I haven't found it yet on my phone....lol
