Attached files become unreadable

[Android Central Question]

I have Lenovo tab4 8 plus. Whenever I go to any website page, which says "attach file" or "upload file" and try to attach/upload any word/PDF file from my tab, the said website (on which the file is required to be uploaded) simply doesn't recognise the file. Even when I try to send the document files as e-mail attachment (using the Tab), the file becomes unreadable as soon as it gets attached. It happens only in case of PDF/word files and not in case of image files. I have even tried attaching files from Drive, but no success. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Are the files saved to Internal Storage or an SD card?

Files are saved on internal storage.

Which browser are you using? What happens if you try a different browser?

I am using Chrome. I tried in Firefox and the issue seems to have resolved. Thanks indeed for your kind attention and help.

Ok, that's good. Not sure why Chrome is causing problems -- wait until the next time Chrome is updated, and then try again with it.
