July 11th is the release of Samsung Intercept. Completely different phone.

no he knows what phone the epic is i went in there two weeks ago before they annoced it and asked about the samsung galaxy s pro and when i went in today to get my evo we talked about it he knows his phones androids at least

Well that rep is clearly lying, becuase I myself am a Sprint rep and I can say without a doubt that as sprint reps we do not get any inside information of when a phone is officially going to come out.

Yeah, sounds like a retard. The 11th is the Intercept, as stated MULTIPLE times. He doesn't know what the epic is, and I think you've mentioned this a couple of times on here, quit reposting what your idiot Sprint Employee said, it will not be out on the 11th. I doubt they would release a phone and not give any prior notice about it when its only 3 days out. Other carriers are starting to announce dates, my guess is that we should hear very soon.

I'm going to throw out a guess, because even though me and my brother signed on in october, our upgrade is taking place on september 1st. A lot of people on here have confirmed that they, too, have a sept. 1st upgrade. It would make sense that they have this phone out by the end of august AT THE LATEST, to give all these (who knows how many, really) people with sept. 1st upgrade the chance to spend their (probably 199.99 just guessing based on sprint's other high-end 4g phone, the evo) money on the Epic.

I can be patient. As long as this actually happens by the upgrade date.

I have been with sprint since 1997 and they gave me an upgrade 2 months early for the Evo.

I'm no insider that's for sure, but my guess is that it launches on July 30th and of course @199 after rebate. but it for sure has GOT to launch either this month or next month or else it COULD, I'm not saying it will, but it could suffer the same fate as the Pre. a great phone, but since all the hype by the end of August will be on the other Galaxy S phones, so the faster this phone gets out, the better IMO.
