I think something went wrong..

I finished, and the Superuser thing is in my app drawer. I downloaded Rom Manager, but when I try to open it it says:

"You must root your phone for ROM Manager to function. Superuser was not found at "/system/bin/su" or "/system/xbin/su". Use Google Search on your computer to find instructions to root your phone."

So I hit OK on that.. tried to flash ClockwordMod Recovery, and it says:

"An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!"

ok, i'm having some problems. I got it to downgrade (i believe, it went through and rebooted and i skipped through the tutorials) then i hooked the phone back to the PC and it pushed the new RUU file and superuser, etc and told me to hit a button, so i did and it hung for around 20 minutes. so i unhooked it and tried to start from step 2 and it's not working. SHould i just start from step one again?

there is conflict in what you are telling me, after the first RUU flash (downgrade) step 2 does not install superuser app, somehow you skipped step 2, did you close out and then hit option 3??
if thats the case i think you will be able just to start with option 2, then you will flash the upgrade THEN it will install superuser.

are you using the new batch file i posted up in the OP, that should prevent you from accidently skipping a step

download titanium backup, hit the problems button at the bottom , get busybox update. reboot and let me know if that worked

Just tried it.

did you reboot and try again,,,,i just posted up a another new batch file, download it and start from option 3 if the rebooting doesnt work

What am I supposed to do with "ADB replacement files Download"?

I'm also confused by this. Is it possible to arrange this so it's a whole new single download? I had this app on my computer waiting to use it but now I'm confused by the new downloads and what to do with them

I meant just after it flashed the downgrade. I'm stuck there. For some reason it won't recognize and push anything to my phone anymore. I'm going to reboot my computer to see if that helps

yes but i wont be able to do it until i get home,my connection at work will take hours if it completes it at all..... just copy the 3 files and put them in the tb_auto_root folder to replace the other file.... just copy and paste

Okay what I did was drag and dropped them in, but it says there are already files there with that name and wants to know if I want to copy them, or whether I want to copy and replace the existing files? I assume I select copy and replace? I know these are noob questions but i have to be sure here. Thanks man

I downloaded your file on the first page, used Winrar to open it and did not see the file you referenced. Totally baffled now...
Going to try another program to open your file and then check back if it doesn't work.

reboot your phone, put it in debugging mode, also check off stay awake....plug the phone back in and select charge only,, then try again

Okay thanks man. One more dumb question and I'll leave you alone I swear: after downloading and moving START ROOT v.2.1, do I go ahead and delete the original START ROOT file that's in there?
