Yeah, uh, so you're not going to believe this ...

Remember how I said Verizon hadn't yet made up its mind, and even was going back and forth as of yesterday?

Yeah ... You know where this is going.

Sorry, guys, but apparently they're now citing software problems, and next week's looking far less likely.

And I go back to trying to justify importing $900 worth of smartphone. :-/

You mean $1800 worth of smartphones. I'll cut yer grass and wash your car for 6 months :P

And issues have to be network related, otherwise the "press' would have trounced the international version for software bugs already.

What BS software problems? Google and Samsung think it's perfectly fine to launch. Is it related to the only different bit, the LTE radio? If not, I don't get it.

Man... something definitely doesn't seem quite right. I don't understand the software problems when everyone seems to say it's fine.

It gets better. Apparently the sticking point is one of those two piece of VZW software they're adding.

Go figure, right?

EDIT: Looked at the wrong time. 2.5 hours. Sorry, Maybe the mods/Admins should wait a little longer before posting things like this if they might be retracted that quickly.

No f'ing way! Just leave them off and we can get them from the market if we want them!

Verizon could spoil a wet dream.

ha this is ridiculous. i've been trying to tell myself to be patient, but all of the rumors make it very hard.

It figures. I got a call today from a nice lady at Verizon trying to get me to upgrade my original Droid. I told her I was waiting on a Nexus. She put me on hold to talk to her supervisor and came back and told me it would be "the middle of next week and you should be able to pre-order". I was so pysched when I found this thread.

You just have to laugh at the morons at Verizon. Even on a phone they can't bloat they're wrecking the release with their non essential bloatware. We need more competition in the US for carriers.

What's so frustrating is if they are so convinced that only the hardcore Android fans are going to be buying this phone, then why do they care if Backup Assistant is on it? If they don't think the average consumer will buy this, why do they need to have an "idiot proof" program like that on it?
