AW 2.0

Says system images are the same as preview 4. So if apps are updated they will support NFC or other features?

I guess so. The article mentions NFC support but there will not be new preview images for the watch. I was hoping to test the DP for the first time thinking I would be able to test NFC payments. Guess I'll have to wait, not sure.

Ah ok. The closest I found is the Chinese site that shows all the parts but not sure if that would prove anything. If the 2.0 update goes smoothly for the 2nd Edition, I'm happy to keep it

Is it possible to buy parts from this site? I need a complete board for a water damaged second edition. Probably wouldn't be cost efficient now that the price has dropped.

I couldn't see a way to purchase parts from the site. They seem to sell photos of the teardown but didn't see parts for sale.

Thanks, sounds like a few days to a few weeks.

I have the AT&T version so probably more like 3 months minimum, even though I am using a different SIM.
I may have to try the developer preview. Mostly I am interested in seeing Android Pay working.

Same here. Hoping the final 2.0 release makes Android Pay available for the 2nd Edition. I don't think the preview works for Pay, from what I've read.

Can you provide them feedback through this? Not that they will like mine at all.
I don't think so. They posted right after the release of the new watches and briefly answered questions, but it's been a week since the last response. I guess you could send a message directly to the team member from that original post, maybe they'd get it but can't say for sure.

Thanks, but I know better than to waste my time with that. I don't think that they will appreciate the input of someone who thinks that 10% of 2.0 is good.

In my opinion, they will wait with the release a little bit more. It's simple marketing strategy and quite understandable. LG have a new product and want to sell as many of the new watches as possible. And if they releases the AW 2.0 to older watches now, much higer number of current Urbane and Urbane 2 users will not upgrade. So they will wait for dust to settle on the new watches, and then release the update.

I really can't see many U2 users upgrading at all, there's not much of any benefit at this point.
Yeah the only benefit would be the rotating crown, otherwise it's the same watch except for a processor change. It doesn't sound like battery life is any better either. I'm already running preview 4 on my U2.
