Ummm unless you want the account in their name, you have to physically be there. Just ask to go with them the next time they go. Or order it on Amazon or something.
I wonder if I can just give them $50 so they can buy me a giftcard. Then, I can use that to get me in the door to buy it. Watcha think?
I'll be frank: please research before you post any answers. That way, you don't mislead someone with false information. Luckily, a well-informed member from another forum was able to provide me with the correct information: yes, a non-member can buy from Costco using a giftcard.

FYI, you could just go and get a Costco membership, then after you get the phone, go back and "return" the membership. (Though I think Costco is awesome and would never give up my membership

Ugh, me too.
On top of that I use Sam's instead (closer) so I called my parents and let them know not to make any plans on Thursday so one of them will come let me use their membership after both of our work days. Fun.
I do plan on calling my local Costco store and making sure they still have them in stock about 5 pm though. If not then to the VZW corporate store it is!
I talked to the guy at Costco today about it. They are getting this deal on Thursday as described here. All of the Bionics my local store is getting are already reserved. All 5 of them....

Weird, my Costco isn't reserving any. We have 3 Costco's in my town and all 3 said 1st come 1st serve on them.
My Concord ca cosTco doesn't know Jack about the deal. He said to call back tomorrow. I'm scared I won't get the bundle cuz I can only get there by 630p at the earliest

Yep I said I didn't know they would reserve and he said they would. I reserved one. He told me to call on Thursday in case someone didn't pick theirs up.
Talked to best buy. They said they won't price match the bundle cuz you need to pay a flat fee to shop there (membership). Same with sams club apparently

Yes, i am pretty sure you'll have to be a Costco member to buy the phone. There's got to be an incentive to pay for the membership you know.
I'm curious as well. I called 3 costco's 3 times each and each time spoke to a different rep. out of the 9 reps, only 2 has ever heard of the bionic, the other 7 don't know anything about it.
None of the 9 know anything about a bundle deal that includes dock and extra battery. They all say they include a regular bundle of case and car charger.
None knew if and when they were getting any in. All claimed they've been at their current jobs for over a year. 4 said that if VZW is launching it on the 8th, then they will receive it 30 to 90 days after that.
All conflicting/contradicting answers.

The thing is w/most employees of VZW Stores and stores like these is it's just "A job" they are not really enthusiasts.
The ones who really are enthusiasts are not allowed to be one on the job. What I mean by this is that they cannot share hearsay because all it takes is 1 person to call the management/up the food chain and say "so and so, told/promised me X and they don't have it and I'm PO'ed blah blah blah." Bang - bye bye enthusiast who was only trying to be helpful.
Work out a deal where you can hopefully call them earlier that day before they open. This way they can tell you the reality on the ground as they have it, not as they want it. Me, I have arranged w/the guy who manages the Wireless Advocates to call @9ish Thursday morning. If they have it with the bundle, I'll be waiting @their door for when they open and get it. If not.. well, that gives me (hopefully) enough time to alt-source it from other places.
It always is wise to make contingency plans.
