Back Glass Issue

I'm curious to know if anyone else is seeing what appears to be some type of delamination on the back camera glass? I saw a few lines that I assumed were scratches yesterday even though I couldn't figure out how it could have happened. Well today I'm seeing even more, and they aren't scratches at all. Thoughts?IMG_2437.jpg

That picture is a little blurry, so its hard to make out, but it looks like a clear plastic protective film that's bubbling up. Of course, my phone didn't have a film, so yours probably doesn't either, but that's what it looks like in the picture.

In addition to the main panel, the glass on the rear of the 6P is also Gorilla Glass 4.

The focus and distance in those photos make it difficult to say anything for sure. Do the imperfections appear to be below the glass, or on the surface of the glass? Each iteration of Gorilla Glass has been increasingly flexible, so it's certainly plausible to me that it would be laminated to fit the curve, however last year Corning did announce 3D shaping services for Gorilla Glass.

I suppose in either case it's possible that a laminate or adhesive bond has in some way failed, and that's what it looks like (at least sort of) from the photos. I'd advise asking Google; certainly before your 15-day window closes.

Sorry folks, but it's hard to get cameras to focus properly on an area like that. I have to get the proper light and angle just to see it properly with my eyes. Here are some other photos I took, and what i'm also seeing now is the issue is wrapping around the flash opening now. Anyhow I'm calling Google today to take care of it.

Without seeing it in person, I agree with others it looks like if there were a piece of plastic like they use to protect glass from scratching inside the packaging. But since there isn't that protective skin, I'd almost venture that it looks like the glue used to adhere the glass to the frame is separating and it looks like there are air bubbles below the surface. So definitely something to contact Google about.

Just processed a return/replacement. I don't like funds being held until the return is processed, but whatever. Thanks all.
