Ok - so my phone just decided to stop charging or so i thought- the lightening bolt doesnt show up - the indicator light doesnt come on - in settings battery it says not charging and the % of charge does not change- i have tried other charges etc etc. No damage to phone . But the issue is that when i boot it into safe mode it then updates the charge% - but will not show it going up until i do that. Example - last night was at 37% - then i booted into safe mode and it said 97% and wouldnt change- i then took out of safe mode and it stays at 97%. Went down a little cause i used it but still wont show it is charging when plugged in. I havent seen this issue in forums usually its the other way around says its charging but actually isnt

it charges - just wont tell me it is charging. and even when off it doesnt show light and doesnt show battery is charging.

Clear the cache partition. If that doesn't fix it, Master (factory) reset.
