I've been having battery life issues where the Android os is using up battery. I'm thinking it's the bixby update that did it for me so I'd like to uninstall it disable it, anyone know how to do this?

If this doesn't fix the issue then back to the drawing board for me

I just use package disabler pro to disable everything I don't want active. Not 100% sure whether or not you can disable the bixby stuff within the apps manager in settings, but I don't think you can.

A factory reset is often required after a new OS or update. Has cured battery problems twice for me.

Off topic (sorry OP) but are you using the app to post pics? If so, how are you going about doing this, because I can't figure it out. I know I've done it before, not that long ago actually, but for the life of me I can't figure out how I did it lol
It's easy at the end of any OP thread mark the curve arrow(this would copy the thread) and send you to an answering or coment screen. Then you write and mark the photo icon if already you got the photo at your Gallery in your phone or Google Photo or mark the camara icon if you want to take a photo right there and send it.

Quick reply also functions. Just write your reply and, before pressing the send arrow at the right of the Quick reply line, press the little upwards arrow inside the small circle at the left of Quick reply line. You will be send to the same add photo screen. This one was write doing just that.

Hmmm I don't see that in the app using quick reply... But it's all good, I'll just do the other way

Sorry again for hijacking your thread OP!

Factory reset and set up fresh. That should heal all your phone wounds.

Just at the quick reply line at the left of the phone screen, little circle with a little arrow upwards.

Yes I use Tapatalk. Right now I'm anwsering with Android Central app. AC is the main app for it's own forum but Tapatalk let you add all the Android Forums you like, Android Authority, Phandroid, Android Police and the King of Root, Flash, Rom, XDA Developer. Each of this forums got their own apps but basiclly I use Tapatalk, paid for the Premium years ago.

with package disable pro. Search for "bixby" then disable all of yhem. Also you might want to put apps you don't need running on the background in the "always sleeping apps"
