I knew that Dark Mode made a difference but MAN, three hours?! That's insanity and so cool!

This is today so far, on dark mode and WiFi

yep ,yup it is! Plus, if you go into developer settings, you can force override dark mode to every app even if it's not programmed with dark mode already.

When my notification shade is up battery percentage shows, when down time is shown.

I'm running Android clean , no development options and everything on, and dark mode , getting epic sot

Haha, yeah, it took me quite a few weeks to figure that out on my Pixel 3 XL. you can force over a dark mode on every single app. For example, the Bank of America app doesn't support dark mode natively to the application. However, if you force override it it'll go dark mode. Same thing with Hangouts, Google's opinion rewards, etc etc etc

Oh yeah, of course. No worries... At first, I didn't think it could be done either, but then I tries it out, and it does look awesome! I mean, don't get me wrong, not every app looks great, but, for the most part, apps look better than not!
