so I've figured the biggest culprit of battery drain is if you have the option for "wifi & mobile network location" turned on under location access.

I thought that setting just turned on the Wifi when you have an app that needs your location

This is great. Am just living it. This is from first full recharge.

phone was down to 80% today even though my screen time was only around 30 mins. I'm wondering if one of my apps is just draining the battery. I have the built in weather widget on my home screen - do you think this is causing unnecessary battery drain?

With Verizon version anyone have issue with battery being stuck at 100 percent? Tried two reboots and since this morning at 8:30 with using my phone it states its 100 percent but discharging... Battery use shows no estimated time remaining because something is hung up...trying to fix this so I can show off the battery life to customers but really looking like a hardware/software bug. So just curious if anyone else has encountered this?

^^ Go into settings and choose the battery, this will show you the percentage that each app is using.

This happens on mine as well. Although it typically happens when it's in standby a lot after pulling it off the charger. Keep in mind the batter does need to be conditioned.

I thought that but when i had it enabled google services was constantly using wifi even with only keeping wifi active when plugged in.

Seriously considering this phone, but not sure if I can take the downgrade in battery life from my Maxx HD. Right now I'm 15h off the charger with 4hr 9m screen time and have 43% left (all on 4g, GPS on, auto brightness). But, the phone is just getting so slow that it's time for an upgrade. The new Maxx isn't worth $299 with the specs it has. Trying to decide between the Moto X, HTC One and the G2.

This has been my concern as well. I've had the G2 since launch day and the battery life is pretty good, although not quite as good as my RMHD and shouldn't be anywhere near as good as the Droid Maxx. Its a great phone, but I keep thinking "what if?" What if I got that Maxx with the huge battery. Would I have been more content and less anxious about beating up the battery as I keep reading reviews about people saying how they "just can't kill" the battery on the droid maxx.

I'm at almost 24 hours right now, still over 50%...

Just over 3 hours of screen time, mostly on WiFi, 50% brightness(no auto)

50% at 24h? That sounds high. As in, you're getting great life. Hopefully that keeps up.

Here is my first 24 hours with the phone (well almost). I haven't even unpacked the charger yet, so this is right out of the box. I started at about 85% and snapped these at 10%, so this is 75% of the battery. I was on LTE for about 9 of the 22 hours, and WiFi the rest. Auto brightness on and GPS on. Needless to say, I'm happy.

90% Brightness the whole time. Mostly 4g and phone lasted 24 hours with over 5 hours of screen time. Verizon by the way. Amazing coming from GNex.

Same here. Got my ATT version on Friday. Honestly I haven't been quite as thrilled with the battery life as I thought. I'm comin from An HTC One. However I'm giving it a few battery cycles before I really judge

Got the G2, but I will most likely return it. I thought I could live with the plastic back, but I don't think I can. Still a great phone though.

If that's the only thing bothering you and you find the rest of the phone to be great, why not just get a case?

I'm getting GREAT battery life on verizon.

Screen on time of 4 hours with 26 hours unplugged. About half of that time was on wifi and half on 4G.

Highly recommend the phone!

The biggest problem is finding a damn case lol!

To go back to this,I ended up plugging it in at about 30 hours, 15% battery left, with 5:50 of screen on time....

I'm soooo happy with this phone right now. Haha!
