so I've figured the biggest culprit of battery drain is if you have the option for "wifi & mobile network location" turned on under location access.
I thought that setting just turned on the Wifi when you have an app that needs your location
Seriously considering this phone, but not sure if I can take the downgrade in battery life from my Maxx HD. Right now I'm 15h off the charger with 4hr 9m screen time and have 43% left (all on 4g, GPS on, auto brightness). But, the phone is just getting so slow that it's time for an upgrade. The new Maxx isn't worth $299 with the specs it has. Trying to decide between the Moto X, HTC One and the G2.
I'm at almost 24 hours right now, still over 50%...
Just over 3 hours of screen time, mostly on WiFi, 50% brightness(no auto)
This has been my concern as well. I've had the G2 since launch day and the battery life is pretty good, although not quite as good as my RMHD and shouldn't be anywhere near as good as the Droid Maxx. Its a great phone, but I keep thinking "what if?" What if I got that Maxx with the huge battery. Would I have been more content and less anxious about beating up the battery as I keep reading reviews about people saying how they "just can't kill" the battery on the droid maxx.
Got the G2, but I will most likely return it. I thought I could live with the plastic back, but I don't think I can. Still a great phone though.
