Battery Life

Still haven't done any rigid testing on mine (received it last Friday), but yesterday I used my U11 as I typically use a smartphone on a Sunday and I had 50% left at 11:30pm (started using it at around 8:00am). My Nexus 6P would be under 10% at the same point, at best.

So, suffice it to say I'm happy with battery life.

This was the best duration I have had so far. Granted, not a huge amount on SOT but still,40 hours is damn good :)

I'd be curious to hear back from those that had done the Oreo update to see if you are experiencing better battery life. Might take a day or two to settle down though.

I have had the update now for about 24 hours. Probably need more time. At this time it seems to be about the same but at times it seems better. But average right now is the same.

So far today I'd say that my battery life seems to be doing a little better than prior to the update. 12% in 3 hours.

My battery life seems to be worse I did post in the Oreo form. But I did do the update Tuesday morning so I was thinking of doing a factory reset tonight. What do you guys think I should give it a couple more days. I want my phone is only been on for two and a half hours and I'm down to 69% already. Doesn't seem like any apps that use anything abnormal. I was thinking about doing a factory reset tonight but like you said maybe I should get the battery some time to settle down from the update.

Just do the hard reset. I always have and haven't ever had any weird issue (above and beyond what everyone else has). I never quite trust when it takes forever to "optimize" the apps after an update. Especially to a full version newer than what I had. Backup what you need to and just reset that puppy.

Yeah that's my plan tonight when I get home from work.

Sorry to hear about your battery woes. First day was pretty good for me...Got around 27 hours.

Today is a little rougher, used 20% in 3h 22m and only 44 mins of SOT.

here's an update to my battery life so far this morning. after doing a factory reset last night. unplug my phone at 8 it is almost 10 and I have gone down 16% not as bad but still not as good as before the update. but I'll see how it is once it's settled down from the factory reset. if I fall in to see how everyone feels battery was doing after the update

My battery life seems to be about the same as it was before the update. Little better on standby little worse when on but averages out. For my use just over 6hrs SOT is normal.

Then what could it be, my battery life was amazing before the update and I haven't changed nothing of what I used in applications. And use Android for a long time I did a factory reset last night. I may need to give a couple days to see once the battery is settled and see how it is. But other than that I don't know what it could be when I was getting at least a day too a day in a half.

Something has to be causing it. Have you tried to track down any rogue app. Does anything in your battery settings look odd. Here are some screen shots of today battery stats.

no everything looks like yours does I am using a adopted SD card which are migrating the data back to the internal going to see if that was an issue. but like I said everything was doing really well and I was going to day and a half or at least between 16 and 18 hours of charge before the update.
