My phone has ghost touches problem. When I remove the back cover, I see that my battery is swollen. When ghost touches happens, I plug in the charging cable and the ghost touches will gone temporarily. And I wish to confirm that does the swollen battery makes the ghost touches problem. If yes, I will change the battery. Any answers will be appreciated. 147881.jpg

I just want to know if the battery swollen makes the ghost touches problem.
There's no way to know for sure, but most likely. As stated above, don't use or charge that phone until you replace the battery. Swollen batteries are very dangerous.

A swollen battery is the sign of a battery about to expire (maybe not immediately, maybe in a few weeks, but lithium batteries shouldn't swell). The pressure of the battery against the back of the display could cause the ghost touches.

Yes, the battery should go post haste. Also, you'll maybe want to look into ways to fully discharge it safely before doing so (not with salt water, btw). Since it's swollen, that means internal damage and a potential for it to burst and start a fire. Don't want that happening in the garbage truck or at a battery drop off location!

As for the touch issue? Who knows right now, but it should be the least of your current problems. If replacing the battery doesn't fix the problem, then there are other possible issues at play. The screen digitizer picks up touches via electrical impulses in your skin. Anything that disturbs those impulses will cause touch response issues. That can be unstable battery voltages, bad chargers and cables, or damaged hardware within the phone itself. The battery swelling can cause the last issue there, so replacing it has the potential of ruling out 2 issues with your touch response.

Seriously? People are telling you that you could literally burn your house (or wherever you are) down, and all you care about is the ghost touches. If that thing goes up in flames, that's going to be the least of your problems.

As I said, if the ghost touches happen, I plug in my phone and the problem gone temporarily. Maybe it is about the stability of battery current problem. A swollen battery power current isn't stable.

Are you using a screen protector? I believe that they can sometimes cause that trouble, at least if badly applied.
