I'm averaging about 0.6% of battery loss an hour in deep sleep mode. How?

Confirm with Accubattery or GSAM Battery Monitor that your phone is actually going into deep sleep mode. If it isn't then a factory reset might be warranted unless you can figure out the root cause or offending app.

I think adding your personal apps and settings to a clean build of Android 12 is best. The culprit could have been an app, but I started from square one. We know the issue wasn't a stock app from Google.

My Pro was not entering deep sleep mode after transferring data over from my 4XL. Even my 4XL goes into deep sleep mode.

GSAM and Accubattery both indicate deep sleep now.

Also, when you clean/remove junk files in your Google file manager. "There is a WARNING that removing these files could cause increased use of battery/cellular data."

My tip would be to keep wi-fi on. I used to keep it off, since I have unlimited data on T-Mobile (and it's faster than the wi-fi at my workplace), but I found that Mobile Network Standby battery use would be fairly high (upwards of 25%) with wi-fi off (even with what seemed to be good cell signal). When I keep wi-fi on, Mobile Network Standby drops to 5-10%, depending on where I am.

I haven't done a lot of testing leaving WiFi and mobile data on at the same time. But if GSAM is correct, my standby signal time wasn't an issue. I was showing 0% battery loss attributed to mobile data and cell phone signal.

If WiFi is on and so is mobile data, adaptive connectivity should render mobile data inactive or put it to sleep basically. If anything I might lose 0.7% of battery an hour instead of 0.6% while idle. Something I saw yesterday leaving them both on at the same time. Got to do more testing. I can tell you that leaving WiFi and mobile data on with my 4XL doesn't do anything to the battery at all.

Right, leaving wi-fi on for my Pixel 3 XL and 3a XL didn't seem to matter either -- but for whatever reason, it does seem to be helpful on my 6 Pro. Whether that's a bug or a side effect of how the system works, I'm not sure.

Accidentally left my phone on Extra Dim for a few hours. Geesh look at my SOT!

I don't think my phone is going into deep sleep. Lost about 20% overnight. I did not transfer from my last phone (never do). Are those apps good for identifying an app that could be causing it or do they just tell me if the phone went into deep sleep?

GSAM
Accubattery
etc.

I am thinking the Tile app is the culprit.

Thanks!

20% seems like way too much even if the phone weren't going into deep sleep. Using the system's battery stats or those 3rd party battery apps, look to see which apps or system apps/services are the top battery users once you wake up in the morning. If the Tile app is by far the highest, then you're probably right.

Also, try booting into Safe Mode right before going to sleep and see if the drain persists.

Just installed GSAM. Just read how to put Pixel into safe mode. Will report back.

I failed to mention I have my Android System Intelligence app set to "Restrcted" battery use.

Can you expand on that? I am not familiar with what that system app does and what restricting would do.
