Sprint notified me the phone is fixed and ready for pick up. That took 4 business days. Good job, Sprint. Son is out of town with the loaner phone, so I can't pick it up until he gets back, but I will report on cost and quality of screen repair and whether the drop down notification bar issue is fixed. I might send mine back for screen repair now.

Picked up the repaired phone at Sprint yesterday. It is indeed the same phone we sent off for repair, now with a new screen. Just like new! Cost was $200. I hope we have better luck with the phone and screen. I will probably get my screen fixed when it is convenient. So screen repair is doable. Hope HTC gets their repair act in order for the rest of you. Sprint seems to finally be on the ball.
