BE CAREFUL! Screen shattered from 2 foot fall onto carpet.

2 navy and 1 gray Incipio DualPro cases arrived today. (4th phone is with my son who is travelling through Russia and taking phenomenal pics with the U11.) The DualPro cases are actually pretty nice. Edge squeeze and other buttons work very well. I am not about to test it with a drop, however. Not too thick. I still worry that the polycarbonite frame won't spread the force at the corners, but who knows? Navy and gray are not too offensive. There is a raised edge for the front/screen.
Pics show case and cracked screen from the HTC hard case and the 2 foot fall onto carpet. I still have the glass screen protector on to hold the glass in place.

I added the pics 2 posts back.

The gray is actually a little bit sparkly. I really like it (wife picked that one.) The Navy is much darker than the photos on Incipio's site and on Amazon. It's actually a matte navy blue. And the TPA inner layer is just slightly darker. On the gray, the inner layer is actually matte black. Very nice.

I guess the Dual Pro adds considerable bulk and weight, but it's necessary with these new fragile phones. There are some broken phones and screens on the S8 forums too.

Gotta have a case on this phone. The Incipio is my choice for work and I've a clear one when not as much protection is required. The one that came with the phone scratches very easily and offers little more protection than a skin.

The included case looked good for about a day - then was scratched to heck after being used in the real world for normal daily activities.

Just got the Insipio Dual Pro in black and it does add a little bulk over the Spigen, but I think it added a notch more protection. A little more slippery that the Spigen...

Yep. Wife says it is pretty slippery. She is used to Speck Candy Grip products. We shall see how these phones hold up in more substantial cases. Write to Otterbox, Speck, Tech21, etc. to get them to consider making cases. Not in the works, currently.

I wrote to Spigen about making the Neo Hybrid. Loved it on my 10 and I like the protection...

I can attest to that. I had an s8 plus slide from my pocket and hit the concrete floor when I was sitting in low lawn chair from maximum of 2 inches but it was right on the corner. It cracked on impact and when it fell to lay flat since I cracked two of the corners.

What kind of lawn chair results in just a two inch fall? :)

I just don't understand why someone would buy a beautiful $650 phone and then put a case like this on it. It is now bulky and looks like any other phone out there. To each his own I guess.

If you do, please do not post about breaking it. ;)

Personally, I don't buy the phone for how it looks. I weigh up screen , cpu, battery, sound etc. How it looks to me is irrelevant as I only tend to look mainly at the screen.

Well, my son just barely dropped his U11 in the HTC clear case and broke his screen, too. We are now of family with 2 out of 4 HTC U11 phones with broken screens and no replacement parts available (yet). Sure, they both work, but this is disappointing even if it's just bad luck. He is in Russia travelling and will have to wait another 3 1/2 weeks for repair. He left on his trip before any more robust cases were available. Ugghhhh.

Both phones were working with the cracked screens, but yesterday, my son's phone screen started to show the pull down menu screen constantly. Went to Sprint store, and they are sending it for screen repair. This store said they have sent back 15 HTC U11 phones with cracked screens and within 5-7 business days the screen will be repaired. Son has a free loaner phone (low end LG) for now. Will update on the final cost and timeliness. Estimate is about $200. Still not to bad for a phone that was $300 with 2 Echo Dots from Sprint.

My phone and my wife's phone, no case, no screen protector, have fallen almost 3 or 4 times each, on wooden floor.... Nothing happened... Guess we are lucky
