Best Buy Exchanging Primes?

Thanks Kmcferrin. I've read the posts both here and elsewhere repeatedly, but my brain sometimes shuts down when I try and take action. I'll try again and see what happens.

asked for a warranty exchange today because of random restarts and overall appauling speed and they said do a factory reset and if that doesnt work, they would send it off to their service center.

Don't try a "store return", ask for a "warranty exchange". My understanding is that BB services the warranties on the Primes that they sell, so even after the 30 days (60 if you are RW Silver) exchange period you can still swap it out. The overwhelming majority of us who have exchanged it for a TF700 have done so after the 30 days were up. I did mine after about 6 months!

And how right you were. Once I specified "warranty exchange", it took the gal at customer service all of 5 minutes to tell me to pick out whatever I wanted. Didn't even have the box with me, just the charger. Thanks!

My number one issue with the Prime was the WiFi, the TF700 seems to have MUCH better reception. And the GPS works too. Awesome.

I can confirm this does work
i purchased my transformer prime in december of 2011, today i went into best buy to exchange it with the credit card it was purchased on so they could look up the receipt. they told me there was nothing they could do to help me.. after calling customer service they told me that best buy had this exchange program in march-june of this year and they no longer offered it.. after explaining to the woman the problems ive had and how i was never notified of the program she asked me which store i was at and called their geek squad desk .. got back on the phone with me and she told me to go in and talk to a specific person.. after that i was in and out in 10 minutes with a transformer prime infinity.. they even gave me the new keyboard and the infinities are 50$ off right now and they refunded the shipping for my original tablet.. so i got the new tablet new keyboard and was refunded 78$ Thanks so much for these posts that let me know this was going on..

if they dont want to exchange your tablet, just keep calling customer service untill you get soemone that will help you.. or ask to speak with someone above them because you know for a fact this is being done.

Thanks so much for this post. I have had my Prime tf201 for almost a year (Jan 20 2012) and hardly used it because of the wifi problems. It was a huge waste of money! After reading this forum post I took my receipt and Prime back to Best Buy and walked out with a new Infinity within 15 minutes. Thanks dereckwolfee!!!
