I just had the Best Buy app ring off, and the email show up - Item is ready for Pickup 04/21/2017 per email - however the app says available 4/19, ready for pickup

I think its time to call.

I think you may be able to do the payment plan and make 3 or 4 payments then pay in full to get the discount. They apply it before financing, at least on verizon they do.

Yup he can do that.

The discount will be applied immediately during the activation/setup process. Once you leave the store with the phone, you "should" be able to contact your carrier and pay the phone if you want.

What I tell customers that opt to pay off their phone in that similar manner, is to wait about 3 days.

He can still buy one of the carrier branded phones full price. If he does though, he will not get the $100 or $50 off the phone. That promotion is only if you finance the phone on lease or installments.

In this case it's best to do the carrier financing then pay it off on the first month. That way you don't have payments and get the discount

I preordered from Best Buy. But I didn't do it until yesterday (4/19). Website and confirmation email says available 4/21/estimated pick up 4/21. Status still says preordered. Originally ordered the s8, but cancelled it and preordered the s8+ instead. Holding up hopes I can picking it up tomorro like they say. Coming from and iPhone 7 plus. Things just getting old to me, as much as I love , I'm tired of pretty much the same exact design they have had for the last 3 years. Hoping this phone is as awesome as it looks!

I'm in the exact same situation as you. I was on the checkout screen yesterday and thought I'd better call them. So I called and said, "I'm about to preorder a Galaxy S8+ online. It says it will be available for pickup on 4/21. Is that guaranteed?" She said, "If it's letting you preorder, it means we'll have it. Let's say you picked black but we only had silver, it would say Sold Out if you selected black. If you can order it, it'll be here." I felt a little better, but I won't lose this butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling of uneasiness until I'm walking out of the store with my new Black Beauty in-hand.

Ordered GS8+ on Day 1, Online for In-store Pickup on VZW. Just got an email from BestBuy stating my order will be ready tomorrow for pickup. Then i look at the order status and it says ready for pick-up now. I will be heading to BB around 11 to attempt pickup and will let you know how it goes.

Hopefully that's true. The one thing I always hated about iPhone preorders was the lack of supply. I always managed to get the phone on or around release date, depending when I wanted it (scored the 4, 5, and 6 plus on release date, 7plus 2 days later when I wanted it), but it's always a headache. I seriously think that they cut their supply short, or lie about what they have to make it look like there's more of a demand. If this is the case and I'm able to pick this phone up when preordering it as late as I did, hats off to Samsung for actually keeping up with demand, as it seems like the phone is selling well. You

I ordered online for delivery, S8 silver and S8 black, both Verizon. Order placed on 4/10, shipped yesterday, arriving today. One shipped in the afternoon from MD, the other shipped at night from PA. I'm in VA. I authorized UPS to release without a signature, so we'll see if they do it.

You can do that?? How? I've been an iOS user for 9 years and usually I fill out the form on Apples website to presign or change my shipment to pickup at a UPS Store through UPS My Choice and I planned on doing that again. Problem is that adds a day to get it. How do I authorize to leave the package w/o a sig?
