I wanted to buy it outright but instead I'm putting $600 down and still get the $100 off then I'll just wait a couple of months and pay of the remaining balance. You aren't locked into a contract with Next.

Yup mine did too. Before it said it was available on 4/18. Now it says tomorrow. I'm guessing they realized the confusion it was causing and updated the orders in the system accordingly.

My best buy order page just changed the date for pick up to tomorrow the 21st instead of Tuesday the 18th. I just saw on another thread that people are able to pick up their pre orders from Sam's Club with no issues today April 20th. Best buy will never have me pre order through them again!

I called back just now to be sure and now another lady is saying she screwed up and if you come to the the won't let them release it. So I'm not talking the chance. I do have a feeling they can override it considering the one lady was certain

Ok so I got a AT&T text on the 18th that my package was shipped with next day delivery and it's now the 20th with no phone and UPS says "order processed ready for UPS".

I called UPS and they told me I have to call the shopper and start an investigation. This is bull crap

Even the guys in here that work at Best Buy are saying they can not release them.

So are you going in or not? Lol. The question is not whether we believe that you were told to come in as get it. It's whether you believe lady #1 . You kept replying to people that you were told to come in. I believe you were told that. But I think we are more interested in knowing if you are going and if you actually get it lol.

Best Buy Associate just called to schedule me to come in tomorrow to active my phone in store.

I asked about just grab and go and he said no we have to activate in store.... I am going to have a chat with them about this in store tomorrow... makes no sense why I have to sit there in store while they activate it. I have done it 100s of times over the years. LOL.

They are not releasing them today.

Doubt they'll release it to you today. I just called and they said it's there, but can't be released until tomorrow.

I think next time I will order elsewhere. My grandma can go to Best Buy and pick up her phone, but this is not great customer service, I don't want delayed pick up (other people have their phone already) and then be hand held.

I guess my money will do the talking, and I will let them know. Funny in a time when Best Buy is the showroom for Amazon, you would think they would want to make people happy.

This is not an attack on our friendly Best Buy Associates in here, you guys are great and I appreciate all the info you have provided. Maybe you guys should show these threads to you managers and district managers, if they want to save the company maybe some of this will flow up to where it needs for a so things can change.

Just curious...is there anyone left in this thread who pre-ordered online (Verizon/Silver S8) with BB for delivery who hasn't either received their phone or at least got shipping notification? My frickin order status has been sitting on "Preparing" since Tuesday afternoon, with no movement, no emails from BB or shipping notices at all, and no scheduled deliveries showing on UPS MyChoice. I mean...Seriously...WTF? I know if I call BB and sit on hold forever, I'm just going to get a spill about tomorrow being release day, regardless of the number of folks who've received theirs already.

Same here. It was in "preorder" status till I woke up this morning. I called the automated number and got my tracking number but it's no populating in UPS system yet. Nothing new on my Best Buy order status page except it now states "Preparing" and Get it by April 26th which was April 21st till this morning. I've been hoping to get it early as I hear others are and now it looks like I wont' get it for almost another week. Unless of couse, that is a generic message and changes again.
