Some ppl on reddit are saying that theirs changed from the 25th to being delivered tomorrow...I'm still on hold but hopefully that's the case for us all

With in store pick up of items with a release date, usually the computer won't let us release it until that date. Not sure if that only applies to music/movies/games, but if we try it gives an error message. Come on Best Buy corporate, prove me wrong!!!

With all the heat building up over 4/25 delivery date, I think we've managed to scare off some very helpful BestBuy employees that have been very good at providing info earlier.

I ordered my S8+ on Verizon the morning of 3/30. I ordered online with in-store pickup. My status just updated and it says "Available Today" but the bar hasn't moved?

I might have to try and pick it up tomorrow at lunch.

Not really any insight into that. I'd wait until you have a tracking number before you worry. Overnight shipments aren't uncommon.

I ordered mine online at 12:30am on launch day and I just got charged on my credit card... The delivery status went from "in progress" with a delivery date of 4/21 to "preparing" with a delivery date of 4/25. My carrier is AT&T.

Until you get a ready for pick up email, you can't pick it up. Just to save you time. The "available today" part is irrelevant. The inventory could be there, but can't be sold. The important part is the "ready for pick up" icon.

For those looking at the "get it by" date. I've regularly seen those be incorrect and received the items much earlier (sometimes weeks earlier). If your items switched to preparing, then normally that ships within 24 hours and most items ship 2 day. So that would still hit Friday.

Hello everyone, new here. Everyone is sharing their experience so i thought I'd let everyone know mine as well. I preordered on 3/30, silver S8+ AT&T for home delivery. Received a call from my local Best Buy (South Texas) this afternoon letting me know that my phone is there at the store but they can't release it until 4/21. My Best Buy tracking shows "Preparing" with a date of receiving it on 4/21. The rep told me he would ship it out tomorrow and I should receive it on Thursday or Friday. I asked if I could go pick it up today and he said that they aren't authorized to release it until 4/21.

So I called and they said it's a glitch and the expected delivery date is still Friday the 21st

If some customers are getting theirs delivered tomorrow, I wouldn't be shocked if BB gives us the "ok" to go ahead and start fulfilling preorders.

I may go into work here in a few, just to check my email and talk to my co-workers to see if there's any updates as far orders are concerned.
