Best Cases for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

Ordered the official Samsung black silicon case (S9+) from best buy. Receiving on March 7th.

Ordered the official Samsung S9+ Hyperknit case from Amazon which I'll receive today (got to love free prime same day shipping).

These two cases will do for me

They have, you can buy them from best buy, Amazon etc. Still haven't gone on sale on samsung.com but few of the cases available via other retailers. See my previous post and I ordered official Samsung cases from both Amazon and best buy.

Thank you. I didn't know this. Just ordered the hyperknit case from amazon. I was looking for them on Samsung and assumed they didn't make any which I thought was odd. Glad you said this.

Suggestions for feminine cases? Had my heart set on the Brilliance Lace from Case-Mate but looks like they're not making it for the S9+. Also most of the feminine cases I have seen are Rose Gold which would have been great if Samsung had offered the phone in Rose Gold and not Lilac Purple, so suggestions welcome!

Is there a folio/wallet style case that will also protect from drops? I probably need a case to protect from drops but like the idea of a folio case. Drop protection is more important, though.

Both Otterbox and Tech21 offer folio cases with very good drop protection.

The Case-Mate padded leather folio is effective provided when you drop it it doesn't flip open so screen hits the concrete. There's no magnet to keep top locked down. But my drops have always landed on the back. Very elegant and does away with hard, angular feel of the unyielding edges of the phone. Makes your device feel smaller. About $60.

I'm mostly going to rock my coral blue S9 without a case, but my favorite 2 cases so far are Samsung's red hyperknit and their red alcantara covers.

I got the blue alacantara case for the S9+. They improved on the case from previous series in terms of the buttons which now have a different texture(plastic vs alacantara).

It stores the cards in the back rather than in a front wallet. I had this for my S7 Edge and later my Note 8, and found them to be quite convenient. And they offer excellent drop protection.

Just don't set your phone down on a wireless charger with the cards in the back!

I just ordered this case for the s9plus I pre-ordered. I'm going to stick with one case initially to ensure that I want to keep this device.

It's more the lighting. It's pretty blue in person.
