Different people use/need different features so it depends. Top 3 I use are S Note, Samsung Notes, and OneNote.

I use OneNote. It syncs across my devices (Surface Pro 5, Dell Desktop, Tab S2, and Note 10+).

The biggest downside is the mobile version doesn't do handwriting recognition...yet.

I also have a Livrscribe Echo smart pen that syncs with OneNote as well.

I used S Note years ago but they stripped features and made it incompatible between phone versions.

I use One Note now, I like the way it syncs and works between my Note phones and Surface tab.

I like Notes Widget Reminder.
It's just a simple widget that keeps all of my notes on my home screen (easy to see), with the option for an alarm. Easy to add a note, and easy to delete a note.

I don't have those settings.

How do i get the google writing input option? What keyboard are you using I'm using Gboard.

Can you show more in depth how to set up using the Spen with google Keep?

I use the Samsung Keyboard. Google Handwriting is a stand alone app. It should work with your Gboard.

Yea. Nothing stays in ink permanently nor the option to convert to text later. No shape smoothing. No thank you. Samsung notes ftw!

When you want a note taking app you want all the features. Using google keep is like using the iPhone.

To each his own. I posted this in response to the guy that says you couldn't use your s-pen on google notes. I like it.

I use Google Notes. I dont like Samsung offerings because of widget layout. Haven't used OneNote. I need to be able to set reminders quickly, this works perfectly on Google app

I use a couple of old dependable apps Evernote and Keep, Samsung Notes is good but I've used Evernote so long it'd be a lot of trouble to move away and Keep syncs across all devices much better.
