wow 8 pages of posts. question, why aren't there any deals thru AT&T and best buy, or did I miss it?

also when will the note 8s be available to play with and try out in store?

I think the only deal with ATT and best buy is the $150 off. I don't have ATT so can't comment in certainty

Yeah seems like not only is the note 8 on ATT the most expensive but worst deals. If it wasn't for the family plan with 4 lines, I'd switch from AT&T now. But too much hassle switching 4 numbers

It's really not as bad as you would think. The port doesn't take very long at all and is actually pretty painless depending on when contracts are up

It's worth waiting 10 extra days if I can save $150. But that's just me....

Yeah agreed. I called verizon to confirm and they said they are shipping but they will be held. Which is how previous pre-orders for me have gone. Plus i take BGR with a grain of salt

I remember last year they held them but there seems to be a lot of reports that all carriers are sending them out early. And I hope they all get their phones early. That would be awesome for them. Doesn't bother me at all. The release date is the 15th and best buy never advertised or said anything about getting them before then. I hope we do but doesn't bother me if I don't.

Yep. You are right. I had a brief moment of new phone envy Plus who knows when ours will ship out either. If the report is correct that means that samsung is trying to get as many phones shipped before the iPhone

Lol all good. Yea I would agree Samsung is trying to get the note 8 put before the announcement of the iPhone. I wonder if the 2 week return period starts when they activate their phone. If it does it would make it very unlikely for everyone to be able to return their phone when the Iphone is actually released. May be a good tactic by Samsung to ensure they are outside of their return window. But who knows. Maybe they just want to get everyone their phones early. I dont like the iPhone but their new augment reality does look pretty cool. But I'm not trying to turn this into an iPhone thread so I'll stop

Haha not a good idea the Best Buy Note 8 / iPhone thread I believe the 2 week return period starts when you receive the device. I am not 100% positive but that is what the VZW rep told me when i decided to give the Gear Fit 2 a try.

I ordered at Best Buy. The associate said they could take care of my trade in to get the half off promotion through Verizon. Did anyone else hear this? Or do you need to do your trade in through Verizon?

When I talked to them they said I would get an email with a code and I would have to go to the link in the email and put the code in to redeem. I'll be honest I really don't think anyone knows lol

I think you are right. But that's a pretty big promotion for there to be such confusion about. I think I'm going to feel safe for going on Verizon's website and doing the trade-in through them.

I would like to think going to a Verizon store would be the best option but seeing as how most of them don't even know what the note 8 is..... I'm not sure anymore lol

Haha not a good idea the Best Buy Note 8 / iPhone thread I believe the 2 week return period starts when you receive the device. I am not 100% positive but that is what the VZW rep told me when i decided to give the Gear Fit 2 a try.

I got burned on the 2 week return window with Verizon. It started the day it shipped, which is BS.

Just makes me nervous best buy isn't advertising the trade in promo like they are the $150 promo. Why not advertise it if it's true, that would help with their sales.

They are advertising it very clearly. First off you are really getting $174 off to start. At VZ, the phone is $40/month while at BB it is $39/month. Then at the top it says you can save up to $150 when you pre-order. Then underneath that it gives you choices of carriers, which for VZ it clearly states up to 50% off with select cell phone trade-in. Right after that is a button that says learn more and gives you all the details. If it is not honored BB would have some serious issues on false advertising. On a side note. I spoke to 3 different VZ reps that all confirmed it. They said as soon as you activate it they will send you a box to ship your trade in back. I hope this helps. My experience is only with VZ.

thank you so much for the details. and clearing up the confusion. I won't send back my s6 since I always keep my previous phone as a backup. they can have my galaxy s5 now! won't be $400 but hopefully I get something!!!

I never seen it. Doesn't matter, I got basically same deal from Verizon and i don't have to deal with third party issues. I already have order movement. Can almost promise that there will be issues with best buy like not enough, getting them to late for the promo date which happened with the s8, who knows. I ordered the phone Wednesday and Verizon is already processing my order for shipping, best buy I doubt it would be the same

Edit... I found it. If you search just note 8 on best buy then what you say is true, it's there. But if you search Verizon note 8 it takes you to the Verizon note 8 page and that page only shows the $150 savings, nothing that i can find on the trade in promo, so best buy didn't advertise it on the important page.
